Hey guys, sorry for not making any new music blog articles. I’m very busy doing playing my Nintendo Switch. Besides, I hope you enjoy hearing this year’s music. Especially Ariana Grande’s fourth album, Sweetener and her upcoming fifth album’s lead single, Thank U, Next, has reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Not to mention Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next music video smashed YouTube’s all-time record for most views in the first 24 hours of release with a record of 50.3 million views. Congrats, Ari.
Also, Carrie Underwood has released her sixth album, Cry
Pretty. Cry Pretty spawned 2 singles including a single with the same name and
Love Wins. If you haven’t hear Carrie Underwood’s Cry Pretty, head on over to
Spotify and stream that album. Plus, Shawn Mendes has release his third album
without an album title. This album features a single, In My Blood. In addition
to that, Jessie J has released her fourth album, R.O.S.E.. It was released in
four parts starting on May 22 and finishing on May 25 with a part being
released on each day.
Let’s not forget that Rita Ora announces her long waited
second album called Phoenix and that album came out in November six years after
her debut album, Ora, came out in 2012. And finally, Avril Lavigne has finally
released her long waited sixth album lead single, Head Above Water, which came
out in September and her long waited sixth album with the same name will be
launched on February 2019. Anyway…
... and going somewhere else.
Folks, readers, music lovers...
It's been a long, sometimes thrilling, sometimes
unpredictable 4 years...
Don't panic.
I'm not ceasing music commentary and opinions. I'll always
have something to say about the industry I'm working my way into. That talk
just won't be here. I am ending this site.
This "PM’s Music World" place is no longer my
animated world. It is only a random music blog, after all. I wanted to focus on
something else like Nintendo Switch as I am not a blogger. I've long given up
the process of doing a post for every news story, or a recap every week or so.
I'm quite content with waiting a little while and forming my thoughts on the
recent music happenings, but I feel that it isn't enough. I feel it's time to
move on.
The current plan is to have all things music commentary
posted on my Twitter account, which is on Twitter. Obviously, there's way more
to that place than just music talk like animation talk, so if you plan on
following me there, be prepared for that. It isn't a "news" place,
and I will post these sort-of roundups sporadically. When I'm ready, when I'm
up for it. Writing about what's going on in music right now has always been
fun, but variety will always been a hobby. Much like my 5 years on Blogger, it
isn't my career or future. It is only a thing I enjoy on the side.
I started this blog back in August 2014. What was happening
then? We came off of a strong 2009-2013 with stuff like Come & Get It and
The Way, but that year was kind of bogged down by random capitalism regarding
of music like overplaying radio. During this time, we were awaiting the next
mainstream music in the form of something like Ariana Grande and Shawn Mendes.
In August 2014, I was doing something for promoting Taylor Swift’s 1989 album.
I had started my now defunct blog in 2013 as soon as Vevo was on the rise since
2010. Personal issues and circumstances had affected my relationships during
the music industry right now, and I had spent many thoughts simply doing
general analyzations. Then in 2014, I had switched over to this blog as my 2013
blog was shut down and during that same year determined my major. Some
complications have made the process longer, hence me getting out of there just
now!
Over four years later, the music industry has both changed
and stayed the same in many ways. It's always been a lot to take in, it's never
easy to keep up with. When not doing my blog or personal projects, or doing
other life things, I'd come here and talk music. It's been fun, but exhausting.
Capitalizing on mainstream music and the lack of things that could’ve been
staying locally was particularly climactic, hence me whittling down the amount
of posts. Now that it and my day of music blogging in this blog are over, a new
life has begun. Personal writing will take the center stage, but as someone
who's currently forming a path into music, you'll always hear something about
the medium from me.
That's not over. This place, and the older me... the older,
stressed, busy me... That's over. The door has been closed.
Until then, see you all guys, next time. Peace out.
