Carrie Underwood Performs A New Single Church Bells At The ACM Awards

It's official, Carrie Underwood, a seven-time Grammy award winner, will debut her new single, Church Bells, with a television performance on the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards this Sunday, April 3 on CBS Television.

Produced by Mark Bright and written by Zach Crowell, Brett James, and Hillary Lindsey, the pop song will ship to country radio on Friday, April 1 and offically impacts on Monday, Aprill 11. Fans have been raving about the epic revenge song that Entertainment Weekly called a "twangy roof-raiser," and ABC News described as combining "some Americana-style banjo-play with a funy swagger." Mark Ronson's Uptown Funk featuring Bruno Mars, anyone? Let's continue.

The pop singer describes Church Bells as one of the most dynamic narratives on her Storyteller album. "I lvoe songs about strong women. I love being sucked into that story: rooting for the woman and seeing that she does something powerful that never thought she could do," the pop star explained. "People are strongest when they're pushed to their limits."

This is the third single from her Gold-certified pop album, Storyteller, which has yielded 2 pop songs which happens to be the 2 top 10 Billboard Country songs chart hit, Smoke Break and Heartbeat. To date, Carrie Underwood has achieved 23 number 1 singles in her country music market, 13 of which she co-wrote.

Carrie Underwood is an eleven-time ACM Female Vocalist of the Year nominee and the first female artist to be twice named the Academy of Country Music's Entertainer of the Year. She is currently performing in sold out arenas across the US and Canada on her smash hit pop tour, The Storyteller Tour - Stories in the Round. The pop superstar will recently returned from Europe where she headlined five shows in five different countries like UK as part of Country 2 Country (C2C).

Wow, talk about country radio gets to play more Carrie Underwood. I wonder how the pop star's third Storyteller single gets to fare well on the country radio. I'm sure Church Bells will do fine. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to see Carrie Underwood performing Church Bells at the Academy of Country Music Awards this Sunday.

We want to see more Carrie Underwood like Heartbeat on pop music as long as her pop songs like Smoke Break would be best suited towars smaller radio stations like country music. Yes, I know. Carrie Underwood is a country singer. Yadda yadda yadda. Come to think of it, Church Bells is the first Carrie Underwood single that contains the word country in the lyrics. This will allow Carrie Underwood's country songs like Something In The Water to be played exclusively to country radio when Carrie Underwood is a crossover country star where her future pop music will be played on pop radio only. This will make Carrie Underwood the country version of Shakira. As long as Carrie Underwood gets to go pop for her crossover appeal, Carrie Underwood will make sure that she will not abandon country. When she makes her first pop album which is a side-project, she will go back to country as soon as pop music gets to remember her and make more pop songs on her country record comeback.

Let's hope Carrie Underwood gets to make her first pop album when she gets to take a break from country so she can be a crossover country act and the world's biggest country star as country will always be the pop singer's signature genre. It would be cool if Carrie Underwood's first pop album will be her sitxh album as well as her first side-project for next year.

Make it happen, Carrie Underwood. Please give us Carrie Underwood's pop music next year after the Storyteller era.

The Return Of Gwen Stefani

Remember Gwen Stefani from 2004-2007? Yup, Gwen Stefani is part of No Doubt from 1992-2003. In 2004, Gwen Stefani released her debut solo album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby. And it’s smash hit single, Hollaback Girl. Then in 2006, she released her second album, The Sweet Escape and its hit album titled single.

Ten years later after her comeback singles, Baby Don't Lie and Used to Love You, released in 2014 and 2015 respectively, the commercial label primate veteran has returned from a non-mainstream music singer, Blake Shelton. I know country music like Carrie Underwood are popular music. She is back with her long-waited third album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like.

So far, according to Billboard, “Gwen Stefani Scores Her First No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 Chart.” Billboard continued, Gwen Stefani debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with This Is What the Truth Feels Like, earning her first chart-topper as a solo artist. The album, her third release, earned 84,000 equivalent album units in the week ending March 24, according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum it sold 76,000 in pure album sales.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new April 9-dated chart (where This Is What the Truth Feels Like is No. 1) will be posted in full to Billboard’s websites on Tuesday, March 29.

This Is What the Truth Feels Like was released on March 18 through Interscope Records and is Stefani’s first solo album since 2006’s The Sweet Escape, which debuted and peaked at No. 3 (243,000 sold in its first week). Prior to that, she reached No. 5 in 2005 with Love. Angel. Music. Baby., which was released in 2004 (bowing with 309,000 sold in its first week).

The new album is supported by its current single, “Make Me Like You,” which recently reached the top 30 of the Pop Songs airplay chart.

Gwen Stefani is, of course, also the lead singer of the band No Doubt, which previously topped the Billboard 200 with its breakthrough album, Tragic Kingdom. The set -- No Doubt's first to reach the list -- led the chart for nine nonconsecutive weeks in 1996 and 1997. The group has since clocked five more charting efforts, including four that hit the top 10.

With Stefani’s solo No. 1, she joins an exclusive club of artists that first reached No. 1 as part of a band or group, and then later earned their own solo leader. (In fact, she's one of only five women to achieve the feat.)

She stands alongside artists like Beyonce, who has five solo No. 1s, in addition to a pair of leaders with the group Destiny's Child. (The group notched chart-toppers in 2001 and 2005; Beyonce's No. 1s happened in 2003, 2006, 2008, 2011 and 2013.)

In addition, Gwen Stefani is one of the only five women to have hit number 1 both solo and with a band. The others where Beyonce and Destiny’s Child, Lauryn Hill and The Fugees, Janis Joplin and Big Brother & The Holding Company, and Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac.”

Congrats, Gwen Stefani. You earned it. Let's hope pop veterans including Gwen Stefani gets more attention. Plus, general public really miss Gwen Stefani ever since 2007. I know Gwen Stefani is busy raising her own child. That's because older pop stars don't have time to make future pop music for future young audiences. That's what fans are for. Gwen Stefani is not declining. Pop music is actually very busy focus on modern pop acts like Selena Gomez. So they don't have time to promote Gwen Stefani. But this year, Gwen Stefani is returning to the public and she is going strong.

Let's hope Gwen Stefani will be loved by a whole new generation of fans because Gwen Stefani is not a thing in the past. She needs to stay.

Next time on PM's Music World, we're going to discuss the upcoming Britney Spears album when the ninth album will be released later this year and later, Taylor Swift will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of her music career. So stay tuned.

Meghan Trainor Teases NO Music Video

I'm back. This post will be my 150th post. Thank you for all my support on my latest music blog for nearly 2 years and I will continue to make great articles on upcoming music news and recent happening on some of the music business. I hope you enjoy my blog.

Back in 2014, a new pop artist that saved Epic Records named Meghan Trainor has released All About That Bass. All About The Bass is not only Meghan Trainor's most successful song in her career but also the most successful Epic Records single in the entire Epic Records history. The music video for All About That Bass is not only the most viewed Meghan Trainor music video with more than 1.3 billion views on Vevo/YouTube, but it's the most viewed Epic Records music video of all time. Early last year, Meghan Trainor released her debut album, Title. So far, Title sold 1 million albums in the US making it the second selling album by a female artist of 2015 in the US behind Adele's 25 which now sold more than 7 million copies in the US. Meghan Trainor has won her first Grammy at the 2016 Grammy for Best New Artist. Now, she's back and she has teased the music video for her new single, NO which came out on March 4 and the the latest music video has uploaded to YouTube and Vevo 3 days ago. NO will be part of Meghan Trainor's sophomore album, Thank You, which will be released on May 13, 2016. Meghan Trainor's Vevo account now has almost 5 million subscribers on YouTube.

So far, according to Wikipedia, "In an interview with Fuse's Jason Lipshutz, Trainor stated the song is "a big anthem for ladies about telling a dude, 'Nah, I'm good—I’m out here on my own, and I'm good with it.'" She also said "The scene is me in a club, and the dude comes up to me and I go, 'No no no. I don't need your hands all over me. I'm good. I'm gonna dance on my own with my girls.'" Billboard gave a preview of the lyrics: "My name is 'no'/My number is 'no.'" Musically, she described the material as "something that's not on the radio" and "different." Referring to the meeting, Trainor revealed label director L.A. Reid, told the singer she didn’t have a proper lead single yet for her upcoming album: “he said I have an album of Nice Meghan". Trainor said it took little time to craft the song with producer Ricky Reed. “I told my producer we needed a big eff-you song, an anthem about girl power that sounded like nothing on the album. We wrote it that day.” She added “I was too scared to go by myself [play the final result for Reid]. L.A. played it 29 times—and we kept counting. I’ll never forget that moment.” Ultimately, the song changed the direction of its parent album, as they started experimenting with new musical styles and produced six more tracks."

Also, according to Wikipedia, ""No" debuted at number 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100, marking her highest entrance among seven entries so far. The single opened at number 2 on Digital Songs with 113,000 sold in its first week of release. "No" also debuted at number 21 on Radio Songs (46 million in airplay audience), marking the highest debut on the chart since Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" debuted at number 6 more than five years prior. "No" added 3.3 million first-week domestic streams, without an official music video or audio on Trainor's Vevo channel." And, ""In an interview with Time magazine, Trainor confirmed the filming of the accompanying music video took place on March 4, 2016. The music video was released on March 21, 2016 on Trainor's Vevo page. Visually darker than her previous clips, the singer joins a female dance troupe in a warehouse. Joe Lynch from Billboard opined "Trainor gives serious early '00s Britney and mid '90s Madonna vibes. It's a much sexier look than we're used to seeing from Trainor, but she owns it." For Fuse's Emilee Lindner, Trainor is "shedding the bubblegum pink and pastel blues of her Title era and delving in the darkness of her new ginger-haired persona."

NO's composition was compared by several critics to Jive Records artists of the early 2000s like Britney Spears and NSync, as the song draws influences from doo-wop and pop, with lyrics about men who "can’t take the hint" when their advances towards women are rejected.

But wait, that's not all...

It appears that the music video takes place in a warehouse where Meghan Trainor joins a female dance troupe as I emntioned earler and according to Wikipedia (again), "Critics observed the video's sexual nature as a noticeable departure from Trainor's previous work. It received comparisons to the works of Madonna and Britney Spears."

Woah, talk about Meghan Trainor's hot and sexiness in her NO music video. It seems that Meghan Trainor's sexiness has serious vibes of mid 1990s Madonna and early 2000s Britney Spears of 1994-2003. Plus, Meghan Trainor looked hot in this music video. Let's hope the song reaches number 1 on a Billboard chart. Especially NO reached number 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming her fifth consecutive top-15 song, and the highest debut on the Radio Songs chart since Lady Gaga's Born This Way as well as peaking at number 13 on both the US Adult Pop Songs and US Pop Songs charts. Make it happen, Meghan Trainor.

What are your thoughts on the music video? What do yout think of Meghan Trainor gives serious early '00s Britney and mid '90s Madonna vibes in the music video?

Ariana Grande Has Unleashed Dangerous Woman

Hey everybody. Remember Focus lost its number 1 Billboard chart peak? Well then, that song was originally intended to be the lead single of the album, but it was removed from the standard edition likely due to a change in the album's style. In an interview, the pop singer stated that Focus was a transitional song from her last album, 2014's My Everything, to an album that was originally titled Moonlight. However, the song was still included as a bonus track in the Japanese version of the album.

But, according to Wikipeadia...

"The album was originally titled Moonlight. On Jimmy Kimmel Live! in January 2016, however, Grande revealed that she was no longer sure of the name, and that she might re-title the album after another song on the album. She announced the new title of the album, Dangerous Woman, on February 22, 2016, through her Snapchat and Twitter accounts. The following day, she posted a photo on Instagram with a caption quoting Egyptian feminist writer Nawal El Saadawi's 1975 novel, Woman at Point Zero as follows: "They said, 'You are a savage and dangerous woman.' I am speaking the truth. And the truth is savage and dangerous". Grande later said: "'Moonlight' is a lovely song, and it's a lovely title. It's really romantic, and it definitely ties together the old music and the new music, but 'Dangerous Woman' is a lot stronger. … To me, a dangerous woman is someone who’s not afraid to take a stand, be herself and to be honest.""

Why Ariana Grande's third album changed its title from Moonlight to Dangerous Woman? I never like the title, Dangerous Woman. It's more like a title that is the same as the song's title. Moonlight should stay as a title, Ari and you know that. I hate change. Why? Because change really screwed up the production so America can make some damn money by releasing countless changes. Stupid changes. Dangerous Woman is not a good title, Ariana Grande, not at all. Let's continue.

Since the lead single, Focus, was not the album's lead single and it was only included in the Japanese version of the album, there is a another single that will be a lead single. Remember that I talked about Dangerous Woman as the album's title instead of Moonlight earlier? Yup, that's the single will be called, Dangerous Woman. Anyway, according to Wikipeadia, again, ""Dangerous Woman" is a song recorded by American singer Ariana Grande, released on March 11, 2016. It serves as the lead single for her upcoming third studio album Dangerous Woman (2016). The song was written by Johan Carlsson and Ross Golan, with Max Martin and Carlsson serving as producers." The release date for Dangerous Woman will be released on May 20, 2016 along with the release date the the album titled single on March 11.

OK, so Dangerous Woman will be the album titled single released on March 11. So far, Ariana Grande is a pop artist because she does pop music. But, when I listen to Dangerous Woman on YouTube, the song does not not sound pop at all. It also does not sound R&B at all. That song is rock and it was epic. This was an awesome song. This was Ariana Grande's first rock single. Why I think Dangerous Woman sounds rock and not pop? When the song was sent to Rhythmic, Top 40 and R&B stations, it does not represent the sound of both pop and R&B it sound like it could have come from rock music. That's because the genre for Dangerous Woman is rock, not pop or R&B. Let's move on.

Let's talk about why I think Dangerous Woman is a rock song. This was the first Ariana Grande rock single as well as the first rock song by a pop singer. The funny thing is that this was the first rock song since Bon Jovi's It's My Life from 2000 that is produced by Max Martin. The reason Ariana Grande should try rock music with the help of Max Martin is because rock music like Breaking Benjamin is struggling to stay mainstream these days. Blame computer and celebrities for screwing up music nowadays. Anyway, with Max Martin and Ariana Grande, Dangerous Woman can save rock music so that way, Dangerous Woman will be love by rock music staff. With rock music started to fell in love with the pop star's rock single, this will tell rock stations to play more rock music sung by pop singers. Wouldn't be cool to sent Dangerous Woman to rock radio so pop radio will play more Meghan Trainor's new single No? I would say yes. While Ariana Grande is a pop artist, she can happily do music goung by any genre including R&B and rock. We need more Ariana Grande songs that isn't pop music. Especially more R&B and rock. Make it happen, Ms. Ari. Make it happen.

Oh yeah, I have link below for you to see it. So go check out the link on Vevo. You might love it.
http://www.vevo.com/watch/ariana-grande/dangerous-woman-(audio)/USUV71600568

OK, let's hope rock radio could play this epic song instead of Top 40 or R&B radio. This doesn't belong to Top 40 or R&B. Rock radio better play Dangerous Woman and make it a top hit by Ariana Grande. With Dangerous Woman played on rock radio, this will allow rock music like Linkin Park and Red Hot Chili Peppers to get more attention on music in social media as well as more view gains for a majority of rock music videos like Metallica music videos. Rock music should not be a thing in the past. Rock radio needs new rock music like rock music sung by a pop singer like Rihanna. We need pop rock music on rock radio so rock music can evolve and be creative.

We need more rock music, Ariana Grande.

Now That's Sexy And Creative, Rihanna!

Hey guys, sorry for not making enugh articles this year. I was playing Pokemon alot. But I'm here now.

OK, let's get back to more Riahnna shall we?

It seems that Rihanna is giving away free digital copies of her long-awaited eighth album, Anti on January 28, 2016 and so far, for 24 hours listeners can download the album for free on Tidal using the code ANTI. Now then, here's what Rihanna tweet on January 28, 2016.

Gift to my navy!!! #ANTI Download with code: ANTI https://t.co/Pa0juya50t @samsungmobileus pic.twitter.com/5ffWm48v39

— Rihanna (@rihanna) January 28, 2016

Check out the full ANTI tracklist below and head over to Tidal to hear the album in full.

1- Consideration (feat. SZA)
2- James Joint
3- Kiss It Better
4- Work (feat. Drake)
5- Desperado
6- Woo
7- Needed Me
8- Yeah, I Said It
9- Same Ol’ Mistakes
10- Never Ending
11- Love On The Brain
12- Higher
13- Close To You

Interestingly, FourFiveSeconds, American Oxygen, and Bitch Better Have My Money didn't make the final cut. So have we have for Anti singles is an early 2016 Rhianna single instead called Work. That same title that is also Iggy Azalea's single 3 years ago back in 2013. This Rhianna single contains Drake as a featured artist.

Now, according to MTV's website, "It’s been a whirlwind day for Rih, who released the LP’s first, Drake-featuring single, “Work,” Wednesday morning. By 7 p.m. EST, however, ANTI had reportedly leaked in its entirety online after surfacing on Tidal, apparently by mistake. It was officially made available on the streaming service shortly after.

Executive produced by Kanye West, the 13-track LP is Rihanna’s first album in three years, following 2012’s Unapologetic. The two featured artists listed are Drake, on the aforementioned “Work,” and R&B singer SZA, who appears on album opener “Consideration.” ANTI also includes a cover of Tame Impala’s “New Person, Same Old Mistakes.”"

The offical MTV website continued, "Rihanna most recently teased ANTI’s arrival by posting a selfie of her listening to it on $9000 headphones, and by teaming up with Samsung to launch ANTIdiary.com, which sent fans on a virtual hunt to discover details about the album. Beginning next month, she’s slated to kick off a world tour alongside openers The Weeknd, Travis Scott and Big Sean." Work reached number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs (Billboard) chart. According to Wikipedia, ""Work" peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, in doing so Rihanna scored her 14th number one, breaking her tie with Michael Jackson as the artist with the third-most number ones on the chart." In addition, filming of the accompanying music video took place at the Real Jerk restaurant in Toronto on February 5. Rihanna later announced its premiere date to be February 22, 2016 via her Twitter account, while also releasing a videoclip via YouTube. There are two versions; the first was directed by Director X while the second was directed by Tim Erem.

So far, the music video has gained 90 million views on YouTube and ironically, Rihanna didn't perform Work at the 2016 Grammys. Wow, Rihanna was absent while that idiotic Justin Bieber did. Stupid Justin Bieber. At least she did perform that single at the 2016 Brit Awards on February 24, 2016.

Wow, talk about Work between Drake an Rihanna. I personally think that Drake and Rihanna were amazing international duo because there's way too many American artists like Miley Cyrus and we need more international counterparts like Ella Henderson. OK, off to the video.

Wow, talk about creativity and hotness. Why? Because I think Work is one of Rihanna's most creative singles that I ever listen. Talk about the single's music sound. It is quite different. Also, the lyrics represent the word work a bunch of times as well as her Bajan talk since she's a rare Barbabian star, not an American star. Since I do like Japan or Mexico, Barbados is quite tiny. Even compared to sall countries like Japan. Anyway, I never like the Director X music video that mich since there's twerking. This is why I personally don't like sex selling music because sex selling music does NOT represent music at all. Fortunately, I like how Rihanna was felling sexy and it's nice to see Rhianna gets to show her butt and her breasts in the Director X music video. Now that's what makes Rihanna so hot and she will continue to be hot despite she's getting older. I know Rihanna is a pop veteran now.

What I do like is the other music video directed by Tim Erem. The Tim Erem music video is very creative. Too bad MTV Hits wants to go with the more generic Director X music video rather than the Tim Erem one. At least the setting in the Director X music video takes place in the club. So MTV Hit would rather go with the Director X music video since the Director X music video takes place in the club and therefore represent the single itself. Duh. Overall, I do like both music videos. But I prefer the music video for Bitch Better Have My Money since the Bitch Better Have My Money music video is way darker than other Rihanna music videos including Work. Good thing I really enjoy Work. Work is a well-rounded Rihanna single. The commercial label primate Drake was featured since Rihanna is a naturalistic singer. Nice raggae-pop sound. Very innovated sound. It's such a creative Rihanna song. I would like more singles that goes by mainstream creativity one day.

What do you think? Do you like the music video for Work? Do you like Work as a single? Do you like music video directed by Director X? Or Tim Erem? Sound off below!

A New Britney Spears Single Any Day From Now!

That's right. I'm talking about anew Britney Spears single.

So, according to V Magazine if I was saying, "The singer is currently in the second year of her Las Vegas residency and she is finishing her ninth studio album.

“When looking for cover-worthy subjects for our 100th issue, we had to ask ourselves: Who do pop stars and musicians — who have become an integral part of what V represents — look up to and admire?” said editor Stephen Gan about the choice of Spears. “There was only one answer: Britney….[W]ho in our world did not grow up listening to her music? Plus, she’s spent some time out of the ether, which makes her reappearance all the more fun and surprising. Mario Testino’s pictures say it all: she’s in great shape, and about to hit us with new music any day now.”"

In addition, Britney Spears gets her Vevo page has a hidden video with only 80 videos and 79 public accirding to a random ATRL thread called Music News: New Britney single coming any day from now!. Wow, this looks awesome. Let's continue.

On Twitter, Diogo Renault aka @britneyfames tweeted, "SOCORRO TEM UM VÍDEO ESCONDIDO NO CANAL VEVO DA BRITNEY." Also on Twitter, Holy Spears aka @xproudofbritney has tweeted, According to this Canadian radio station, Britney's new single could be out tomorrow or they want some attention!"

Awesome, I can't wait for more Britney Spears this year. Why? Because she hasn't had a US number 1 for the last 5 years. Work Bitch lost the number 1 peak but it was a fan-favorite Britney Spears single. Pretty Girls underperformed, but the music video gains view just fine since that music video has manage to reach 100 million views last year thanks to Iggy Azalea. Britney Spears must make good new commercial pop music because she's a commercial artist, not a natural artist. So I was thinking about more commercial sexy singles. That would be awesome if the ninth album's lead single gets to be her copy and paste sexy anthem single. Sexy music is a great staple for Britney Spears every since Baby One More Time hits the late 90s in 1998 and the 2016 single better be a number single. Please make it happen, Britney Spears. We want more sexy music, not copy and paste ballads. People really got tired of something like Taylor Swift because pop music really miss Britney Spears and people wants more Britney Spears. Sorry, Taylor Swift. We want more Britney Spears. Do you hear me? Good.

What do you think? Are you excited for 1 2016 Britney Spears single? Do you think this song has to be a number 1 single? Sound off below!
