Hey guys, head's up.
Paramore will be launching a new album coming May 12. Their 5th album will be called After Laughter and there is already a lead single. So let's check it out.
It appears that a new single of of the upcoming After Laughter will be titled Hard Times and the single's music video was launched on April 19. So it looks like Paramore is back! After four long years, the trio hit us hard with a new single, its music video, and an album announcement on April 19. They premiered “Hard Times” along with its colorful music video during that same day. If you liked the sound of “Still Into You” and “Ain’t It Fun” from their last album, you’ll probably enjoy this. “Hard Times” has a clear 1980s/1990s influence, but it’s punchy and honest, in classic Paramore form. It comes from their long-awaited fifth album, After Laughter, due out on May 12th. Yes, in just three weeks after the single hits April 19. Also, Hidden Jams Music will be discussing this article so had on over to Hiddeon Jams Music and discuss this link right over there.
In addition, after releasing their self-titled fourth album in 2013, Paramore took a few years off to regroup. Bassist Jeremy Davis left the band, but drummer Zac Farro rejoined Paramore. (His brother, Josh Farro, has not yet returned.) Hayley Williams married Chad Gilbert from New Found Glory and started her own hair-dye company, goodDYEyoung. Now Paramore is a trio consisting of Hayley, Zac, and guitarist Taylor York.
Last month, twelve songs written by Hayley Williams, Taylor York, and Zac Farro appeared on ASCAP. One of them was Hard Times, which is our peppy new single.
Hard Times is the lead single and first track on After Laughter. The album, out May 12th, will include the following 12 songs:
Hard Times
Rose-Colored Boy
Told You So
Forgiveness
Fake Happy
26
Pool
Grudges
Caught In The Middle
Idle Worship
No Friend
Tell Me How
Ten of those song titles were registered on ASCAP last month. The only new song titles are 26 and No Friend. The two songs they replaced are Idle Worship Outro (which may still be part of Idle Worship) and What It Costs. Hard Times is available now and After Laughter will be out on May 12.
So what do you think of Paramore's upcoming After Laughter lead single? Also, what do you think of the new single, Hard Times? Sound off below!

There you have it, these are the 2017 Radio Disney Music
Awards nominees. Now, just to let you know that this only applies to mainstream
music, not popular music as a whole like country music. That’s because country
music is not mainstream music unless it’s a crossover hit or a pop song sung by
a country artist. Shania Twain, anyone? Anyway, I’m looking forward to the 2017
Radio Disney Music Awards when it hits Disney Channel at the end of this month.

A New Music Series Coming To CNN This Thursday
Hey guys, sorry for the lack of this month’s articles. I’m
really sorry for the lack of new events this month. But I’m here now.
Aside from a long delay, here’s what’s happening with CNN.
Now then, as you may know that CCN will be airing an
upcoming eight-part original series that explores the music tied to iconic
moments in history, from the March on Washington to the riots at Stonewall, to
the moon landing to Hurricane Katrina. It’s called Soundtrack: Songs That
Defined History. It will premiere on Thursday, April 20 at 10pm. That’s this
Thursday night. The executive producer of this show includes Dwayne Johnson.
Now then, here’s what CNN has to say about this. Take it, CNN.
CNN: “CNN Debuts "Soundtracks: Songs That Defined
History" On Thursday, April 20, at 10:00 PM ET
New CNN Original Series Features Interviews with Music
Legends Including Billy Joel, Smokey Robinson, Paul Simon and Pat Benatar among
others
NEW YORK – March 29, 2017 – Soundtracks: Songs That Defined
History, from executive producers Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia (Seven Bucks
Productions) and Emmy and Peabody Award winners Maro Chermayeff and Jeff Dupre
(Show of Force), will premiere Thursday, April 20, at 10:00 p.m. ET on CNN. The
new eight-part, hour-long CNN Original Series explores the music tied to
pivotal moments in history. From the March on Washington to the riots at
Stonewall – every episode will illuminate how music has played an integral role
in celebrating, criticizing, and amplifying these seismic events in our
collective history. Hiram Garcia and Brian Gewirtz (Seven Bucks Productions),
Joshua Bennett and Mira Chang (Show of Force), and Amy Entelis and Lizzie Fox
(CNN) also serve as executive producers.
"We are excited to be partnering with CNN and Show of
Force to take our global audience on a unique journey through the songs that
define some of our nation's most pivotal turning-points," said executive
producers and Seven Bucks Productions co-founders Dwayne Johnson and Dany
Garcia. "Music is our soul, and we have a deep appreciation for it here at
Seven Bucks and the defining role it plays in helping to tell our stories.”
Soundtracks features rare archival footage alongside
interviews with legendary musicians, journalists, historians and other notable
figures including Dwayne Johnson, Billy Joel, Smokey Robinson, Andra Day, Pat
Benatar, Patti LaBelle, Ben Harper, Paul Simon, Melissa Etheridge, Master P,
George Clinton, Anderson Cooper, Van Jones, Dan Rather, Billie Jean King, Neil
DeGrasse Tyson, Reverend Al Sharpton, and more.
The series premiere, “The Assassination of Martin Luther
King Jr.,” explores the music that kept the spirit of the civil rights movement
alive following King’s death–from James Brown’s black power anthem, “Say It
Loud (I’m Black and I’m Proud)” to Kendrick Lamar’s searing protest song,
“Alright,” inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement. The music in the
episode celebrates the strength and solidarity of the African American
experience while reminding us how far we still have to go. Subsequent episodes
cover September 11th, Kent State and the Vietnam War, Hurricane Katrina, the
fall of the Berlin Wall, the moon landing, the Stonewall riots and the famous
tennis match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs which galvanized the
women’s movement.
To celebrate the series, CNN will offer exclusive
Soundtracks content on Apple Music.
Starting today, fans can enjoy Soundtracks-branded playlists tied to
each episode, as well as playlists created by some of CNN’s most recognizable
anchors and Original Series hosts like Chris Cuomo, Don Lemon, Anthony Bourdain
and Lisa Ling – all available in the CNN “Curator” section on Apple Music.
Soundtracks will be available On Demand the day after the
broadcast premiere on cable VOD and on CNNgo via iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and
other devices, and via desktop at www.cnn.com/go. Soundtracks, produced by Show of Force and
Seven Bucks Productions, will premiere Thursdays at 10:00 p.m. ET on CNN.”
Thanks, CNN. What I heard is that Katy Perry and Lady Gaga
is in this eight-part series. That’s right, I’m taking about a big pop star and
a small pop star appearing in the same upcoming CNN show. Interesting. I’ll be
checking it out then.
What say you?
