Legend
X is back, Fighters and this month we’re talking about 2 new
Christina Aguilera singles this month. First up, we have the first
single which was out on May 3 called Accelerate.
Now
then, as you may know that Accelerate will be a lead single from
first new album in 6 years. Wow, 6 years. Anyway, she has dropped
Accelerate and a new music video on May 3. So far, after years of
promising fans that new music was on the way, the 37-year-old single
finally came through on May 3 by dropping the initial single off of
her first new album in six years, Liberation. I bet streaming music
will love Christina Aguilera because streaming is the future and we
need veterans like Britney Spears in streaming music. Screw radio,
streaming music and music videos ftw.
Accelerate
is a laid back R&B gem that mixes her powerhouse vocals with rap
verses from Ty Dolla Sign and 2 Chainz.
“C’mon
babe, pci up the speed,” she sings in the suggestive song.
“Stamina. Fill me up. Thats what I need.”
“I
love you. I know you’ve been waiting,” Christina Aguilera said in
a video on social media Wednesday, one of many she’s been putting
out in anticipation of the new music. “It needed to be perfect for
you. For me. I’m ready. It’s time. I’m finally feeling
liberated.”
“I
feel in life when you get to a place where you feel so comfortable
and so routine, then you know you need to stop and start from
scratch,” she said in another.
Liberation
will
arrive in full June 15
according to People Music. Among the songs on the
15-track album is a
duet with Demi Lovato that both singers
teased back in March. Nice. That’s where I discuss right now.
Enter
the second single I’ll be talking about as the next subject called
Fall In Love. In this single, it features Demi Lovato. The music
video for Fall In Line came out 2 days ago on May 23.
According
to Entertainment Weekly, “If you ever wondered what Christina
Aguilera was willing to do to save her songstress sister Demi Lovato
from the clutches of the patriarchy, you’ll find the answer in the
pair’s new music video.
Aguilera
unveiled the powerful clip for her latest single “Fall In Line”
Wednesday afternoon, immersing fans in a stylized world where masked,
masculine figures hold her and Lovato, her partner on the duet,
captive. The feminist anthem’s lyrics compliment the visuals quite
well, as Aguilera and Lovato sing in the name of liberating women
from patriarchal shackles as their characters literally do just
that.” Wow, it’s nice to see Demi Lovato featured in a Christina
Aguilera single. That’s because Demi Lovato was born in 1992 and
Genie In A Bottle came out in 1992. 1992 and 1999 are both 90s years.
Let’s continue.
“The
clip, directed by photographer and filmmaker Luke Gilford, opens on
an image of two girls — one with blonde hair, the other a brunette
— playing in a serene field. But, the placid scene is soon revealed
to be a dream envisioned by an imprisoned Aguilera, who’s locked up
in an underground facility and forced to perform her choral art by a
legion of faceless male figures,” Entertainment Weekly continued,
“The narrative evolves to reveal Lovato’s character as a
prisoner, too, and the two work together to free themselves and
escape to the sun-kissed land above.”
“The
“Fall In Line” video lands three days after Aguilera and Lovato
performed the song live for the first time at Sunday’s Billboard
Music Awards in Las Vegas, where the crowd leapt to its feet for a
rousing standing ovation — including a particularly
glowing reaction from Tyra Banks.”
Entertainment
Weekly replied, “Following “Accelerate”
and the promotional ballad “Twice,”
“Fall In Line” lands as the second official single from
Aguilera’s upcoming eighth studio album Liberation,
due out June 15. Aguilera is set to perform the track on her upcoming
Liberation
Tour (her first traveling concert series in a
decade) later this year.

the just-released music video for the powerful track above.
Liberation is available for pre-order here.”
Wow,
that is great. I’m look forward to hear Accelerate and Fall In Love
featuring Demi Lovato. I’m super excited to hear Liberation when it
will arrive on Spotify June 15.
