Now then, just to let you know that Rita Ora released an
awesome new song last month. It’s called Body On Me. Body On Me is an R&B
song assuming that the song is R&B, not pop. I know Rita Ora is pop. But
it’s an R&B song because it features Chris Brown. Chris Brown is R&B,
not pop despite he does have some pop songs. Rita Ora is a pop artist unlike
Chris Brown. But despite Rita Ora is pop, Body On Me is R&B, not pop.
Assuming that a few pop stars like Ariana Grande gets to make R&B music too
like Rihanna’s We Ride which came out 9 years ago. Let’s move on.
Body On Me is one of the strongest Rita Ora songs I’ve ever
hear. It peaked at number 2 at the US Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles cart and
peaked at number 16 in the US Rhythmic chart assuming that it’s not a US hit.
That’s because Rita Ora is from UK, not from the US. Duh. Let’s continue.
Now then, there’s something wrong with Body On Me. That song
is great as the music video gains over 25 million views on Vevo. But what went
wrong…
I’ll tell you why something wrong with Body On Me, it was another I’m feeling sexy music video. What? Really, Rita Ora? Another generic steamy video where Rita Ora is feeling sexy. How about no. The music video did not represent the song. The music video is meant to be for steamy music videos rather than the song itself. You know what? I’m tired of recycled steamy music videos. The music video is suppose to represent Rita Ora separated from Chris Brown and quietly reunite together, not Rita Ora and Chris Brown are feeling sexy and have sex with each other. Sex does NOT represent selling music. Saving people’s lives and inspiring people's lives is suppose to sell music. Not repeats like sex and radio. That’s not how it works, Rita Ora.
Now then, another reason the music video is a mess is that
Chris Brown is taking off his shirt and feel sexy. Why is Chris Brown feeling
sexy? He’s suppose to inspire Rita Ora as the lyrics describe, not Chris Brown
and Rita Ora are feeling sexy. Epic fail, Chris Brown. Epic fail, Rita Ora.
Bottom line, the music video turned out to be a mess. The
music video does not represent the song itself. It was another generic sexy
steamy video. Rita Ora and Chris Brown are both feeling sexy does not work well
in the video. Bottom line, avoid this music video even if you like Chris Brown
or Rita Ora. Body On Me could’ve done better if the music video is more mature
than going by steamy sexy video. Curse you, sexy music videos. Remember, that's just my thoughts.
What do you think! Do you like the music video? Do you think the music should've done better if it's not a steamy music video? Sound off below!
