Earlier this week, pictures surfaced of Katy's boyfriend Orlando all over Selena in Las Vegas.
In a string of snaps from a night out, the stars looked totally enamoured with each other as they sat apart from their friends.
An insider has told PEOPLE that the pair are 'absolutely just friends' even though Orlando was seen kissing Selena on her cheek as they chatted for around 20 minutes.
Selena and Orlando have been friends for a while and first sparked romance rumours in 2014 when they were spotted hanging out in LA.
At the time the actor flat out denied any kind of romantic relationship with Selena, who he appeared alongside at a string of WE Day events that summer.
Unlike Katy, Selena didn't leave it so long to speak out after the new pictures of her and Orlando went public.
Instead the singer - known for being on/off with Justin Bieber - ignored the controversy as she shared a jaw-dropping photo of herself .
The snap featured Selena wearing a metallic dress while dropping a very sexy leg bomb in a hotel corridor.

Thanks, Mirror. Boy, Selena Gomez dating Orlando Bloom causes Katy Perry to flip out and if she does, Katy Perry will have a battle against Selena Gomez. So I was thinking Selena Gomez hit each other's body and then they get tired and kiss each other's lips because the battle continues with more girl slapping and stuff. That would be cool. Especially if Katy Perry kiss Selena Gomez's mouth and Selena Gomez liked it. Either way, I hope Katy Perry will have to reunite with Orlando Bloom. If not, she will have to find a new boyfriend if Selena Gomez was feeling comfortable with Orlando Bloom as her new boyfriend. Let's hope both hot female artists worked out in the end.
