A New Album By Evanescence To Be Released Called Synthesis

On May 10, Evanescence announced a new album called Synthesis. So far, after months of teasing a new special project, Evanescence has finally announced their new album and tour. This fall, the band will release Synthesis. It will be out on November 10, the day before Taylor Swift will be releasing her new album on November 11 called Reputation.

Now then, let’s see what Amy Lee has to say about this:

“I want to take this moment to officially announce, and briefly explain, the new Evanescence project, Synthesis. We’re calling it that because it is a synthesis – the combination, the contrast, the synergy between the organic and the synthetic, and also the past and the present.

This album is about orchestra and electronica. We’re taking our music, taking out the big distorted guitars, stripping out the rock drums, and replacing it with full orchestration and a completely synthetic world of beats and sounds. We’ve gone through our entire catalog of music and picked out the songs that are made to be heard this way. And we’re sewing them together, from the ground up. This isn’t a remix. We’re not pulling things out and putting it out. We’re starting from the ground up, at different tempos, with different parts, intros and outros and segues. And new pieces. And putting this all together like one big piece of music. Like one big classical piece, or sort of like a soundtrack, actually. In a lot of ways it sounds like the soundtrack of my life.

In addition to all the Evanescence songs that you already know, there are also going to be two completely new and original compositions as well.

We’re collaborating on this with the legendary David Campbell, who arranged the strings for all three of our albums. This time he’s coming to the table with way more. Full orchestra, meaning woodwinds and brass and strings and harp, and just the whole thing. It’s just really awesome.”

Thanks, Amy Lee. But that’s not all.

On August 13, Evanescence is back in the studio finishing Synthesis. The upcoming album, out this Friday, will reimagine known and loved Evanescence songs with a new orchestral, electronic twist. In addition to an album’s worth of rerecorded older songs, Synthesis will also include two new songs. As Hidden Jams noticed:

“In May, the band members shared plenty of photos and videos from the recording process. We got to hear some of the orchestra, helmed by master composer David Campbell. We also noticed two Evanescence songs: “Lost In Paradise” and “Never Go Back.” The band then toured Europe through June and into July.

Now, after that short break for tour and family time, Evanescence is back in the studio again, finishing up Synthesis. Amy Lee has been recording vocals, usually one of the last components in recording an album, and the band has even done the album’s photoshoot!”

Synthesis will be the band’s first album in six years. Their next album of all-original material should come out in 2018. Evanescence’s last full album, 2011’s Evanescence, produced singles like What You Want and My Heart Is Broken. On Setember 15, Evanescence will be releasing their 2017 single called Imperfection. It’s one of two original songs on the band’s upcoming album Synthesis, out November 10. But as frontwoman Amy Lee sings, she wants to lift you up and erase your pain. You’re irreplaceable. So on October 19, the song gets a music video that brings the lyrics to life on Vevo. The same time, Selena Gomez and Marshmello uploaded Wolves. I already talked about it on the earlier article.

The Imperfection video starts with Amy Lee sitting at a bus stop in the rain. The camera flashes to a young girl crying as a body is moved from her home to an ambulance, fully covered in white. The two minute piano intro ends here as Imperfection officially begins. The young girl wanders through a surreal world of blooming colors and constellations of shapes. Amy Lee sings fiercely, disappearing and reappearing like a mirage, while the Evanescence band members float in the background. Wow, what an awesome music video. But that’s not all, Amy Lee is smoking hot. I can’t wait for more Evanescence this holiday season.

Plus, I was expecting to see Amy Lee collaborating with female pop artists like Ariana Grande or Demi Lovato as a rock single. That way, pop singers like Selena Gomez might collaborating with Amy Lee and bring rock music to the streaming realm. Since streaming is the future, rock music should be huge in the streaming. Forget capitalism and radio. We want real mainstream music to be heard everywhere even if they’re not mainstream enough. They need to push the limits and go by a bigger diversity including rock and metal music.

What do you think of the upcoming album Synthesis and the lead single, Imperfection? Sound off below!

Selena Gomez Teams Up With Marshello With Wolves

You said it folks, Selena Gomez is teaming up with DJ Marshmello with her latest single, Wolves. So here it is.

So far, it was released on October 25, 2017 through Interscope Records. It is an EDM song and it premiered via radio show Beats 1 where hoster Zane Lowe named it the release day’s “World Record”. Now then, here’s what Wikipedia has to say about Selena Gomez’s Wolves with Marshmello.

“Release and promotion

Marshmello first revealed the collaboration on July 22, 2017, when he tweeted: "Happy birthday Selena Gomez! Can't wait for the world to hear what we've been working on."On August 15, 2017, Marshmello wrote that Gomez "sounds absolutely incredible" on the song, when replying to a fan who asked him to talk about the collaboration. During a radio interview with Tonya and Sonic on San Diego's Energy 103.7 FM, Gomez spoke of the collaboration: "It's really cool. It's kind of in that world, his world, and I'm stepping into it and bringing my style too." She called it a beautiful song as well as one of her favorites. On September 25, 2017, a follower of Gomez reached out to Marshemello via Twitter for a "tip" about the song, to which Marshmello replied: "Coming very very soon," leading to speculation on the song's release. On October 6, 2017, alongside the announcement of his single "You & Me" and collaborations with Migos, TM88 and Southside, he reassured fans that the song is "coming very soon". On October 19, 2017, both Gomez and Marshmello took to social media to officially announce their collaboration and its release date. Gomez shared pictures of her wearing a pink version of Marshmello's helmet while they sit on the ground and the two sitting on a couch eating popcorn. It was premiered via radio show Beats 1 where hoster Zane Lowe named it the release day's "World Record".

Composition

The song, written by Gomez and Marshmello along Ali Tamposi, Louis Bell, Brian Lee, Carl Rosen and the song's producers Marshmello and Andrew Watt has been described as a "sticky electronic snack" and "propulsive EDM" which is equally "acoustic-laced EDM and long, lost 80's pop". "Wolves" opens "dark and gloomy" with Gomez singing over a clean electric guitar as Kat Bein from Billboard commented, the build of the bridge is "almost country-pop, but the choral hook is all Marshmello sweetness." In an interview with Zane Lowe for Beats 1, Gomez stated that the lyrics deeply reflects what she was feeling the period she recorded the track.”

Thanks, Wikipedia. On YouTube, there are 2 music videos for Wolves. First of all, the Visualizer version of Wolves music video debuted on October 25 on Vevo while the Vertical Video version of the video came out on November 2. So I was expected to see the real music video coming later this month. I’m so excited for the single’s official music video since I loved Selena Gomez’s music videos. So I’m looking forwards to see this one. Plus, Wolves debut on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (dated Nov. 11) at No. 7. So hopefully, this song will reach number 1 on the Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart soon.

What do you think of Selena Gomez’s Wolves with Marshmello? Sound off!

Rita Ora To Be Hosted In The 2017 MTV EMAs - Plus, Eminem To Release A Comeback Album At The EMAs

Happy November, everyone.

It’s that time again. With the 2017 American Music Awards coming on November 19 and the 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards coming November 12, November will be the month of music awards. So far, the 2017 MTV EMAs confirms that Rita Ora will be the host at the 2017 MTV EMAs. Now then, here’s what MTV EMA has to say about this in its Twitter account.

We’re so excited to announce our 2017 #MTVEMA host, THE AMAZING @RitaOra #LondonIsOpen pic.twitter.com/8LPShbLvbJ
— MTV EMA (@mtvema) September 28, 2017

Thanks, EMA’s Twitter. But that’s not all, Eminem will be taking to the stage in Wembley next weekend to debut his new music. So that means, Eminem is launching a comeback record at the 2017 MTV EMAs with massive performance. I bet his new music will be something different. I would say a strong storytelling single since he's done with Slim Shady singles since 2009 and he was lucky enough to make more serious hip-hop music since 2010. Will his new music succeed? Stay tuned and find out.

I can’t wait to see the 45-year-old rapper performing at the 2017 MTV EMAs alongside the hot British chick hosting in the same ceremony this Sunday. This is gonna be fun. Rita Ora is gonna be hot as the EMAs host.

What do you think of Rita Ora hosting the 2017 MTV EMAs? What do you think of Eminem performing his comeback performance? Sound off!

Wow, it’s nice to see Jennifer Lopez and Demi Lovato perform at the October 14 live concert. It stinks that Puerto Rico was struck by Hurricane Maria last month. That’s why USA like Puerto Rico is already in a downward spiral these days. Good thing Jennifer Lopez has headlined One Voice Somos Live! on October 14. Plus, we get to see Marc Anthony too. I hope Puerto Rico will be okay. I don’t want anymore disasters.

Recap: Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated Was On YouTube

Hey everybody, sorry for the lack of new blog article updates. I’m not really a music blogger. But here I am now. On October 10, Demi Lovato has announced that she is announcing her trailer for Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated on YouTube on October 10. That’s one week ago. It was confirmed that the YouTube video is on YouTube on October 17. That was yesterday. Now then, let’s talk about the documentary video on YouTube yesterday. Check it out.

“Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated is a full length documentary that gives a personal and intimate look into Demi Lovato's life as not only a regular 25 year old, but also one of the biggest pop stars in the world.

To know Demi best, you have to understand all that she has been through and overcome. This documentary includes never before told stories that inform the person she is today.

Go on the journey with Demi as she creates her most important body of work in music yet, and discovers her most authentic self along the way.

Directed by Hannah Lux Davis
A film by Philymack Productions”

That’s really cool. Anyway, on September 29, Demi Lovato released her sixth album, Tell Me You Love Me. So far, on its launch, the album has reached a new low for Demi Lovato. The album is a major bomb in the US and it did NOT debut at number 1 at the Billboard Top 200 chart. But that’s just fine since Demi Lovato is a streaming artist, not an album artist. Plus, Demi Lovato is different compared to other pop stars like Selena Gomez. Anyway, Demi Lovato has uploaded her documentary on YouTube yesterday as well as her sixth album, Tell Me You Love Me. With Tell Me You Love Me and Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated is out, there’s no need to but her albums anymore since streaming is the future and album sales declining. We are proud to see Demi Lovato having a bright future.

What are your thoughts on Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated? Sound off!

TRL Is Coming Back To MTV On October 2

You said it folks, TRL is coming back to MTV next Monday, October 2. This isn’t the original 1998 TRL which ended in 2008. I’m talking about the new TRL reboot which will be a 2017 TRL. Anyway, following on the 90s House music videos aired on MTV Classic 2 days ago, MTV will be planning to bring back TRL starting next Monday at 9pm. Awesome. Which means, MTV can finally do variety that isn’t movies and reality shows like music videos in the morning. That’s where is that. But wait, that’s not all.

MTV announced today that Ed Sheeran will be a special guest, he is on Good Morning America this morning and now, he will be coming back to MTV starting next Monday night. Hooray! In addition, in late July, MTV is reviving Total Request Live with the changes from Moonman statue to Moon Person. Now that’s amazing. Here’s what Variety has to say about Ed Sheeran on TRL reboot. Take it, Variety.

“MTV announced today that the first guests on its “TRL” reboot will be British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and Atlanta hip-hop trio Migos. The first installment of the revived show will air on Oct. 2.

“TRL” will air live weekdays at 3:30 p.m. ET from MTV’s newly expanded Times Square studio. “TRL” is hosted by D.C. Young Fly along with the show’s “squad,” which includes Tamara Dhia, Amy Pham, Erik Zachary, Lawrence Jackson and content creators such as Liza Koshy and The Dolan Twins.

In rebooting the series, which was enormously popular in its initial 1998-2008 run, the network is making significant efforts to snare its young target audience. According to a press release, the show “will integrate linear, social and digital elements and bring teen passion points to life, while continuing to incorporate audience requests.” Clips from the main show will be immediately distributed to social media, supplemented by original digital segments, short-form social videos and blog posts. Also, there will be an official “TRL” show on Musical.ly, airing on Mondays and Thursdays.

In announcing the revival of the franchise in July, new network president Chris McCarthy said, “Who’s not going to support a platform that’s covering all of the buckets of social media and cable to allow your artist to go on, play a video, perform a song and to talk about their new music that just got released?” he asked. “How do you say no to that? We’re going to give it a shot, a big shot.””

Thanks, MTV. It’s great to see TRL coming back. I though TRL ended almost 9 years ago. But now, it looks like a whole new generation will love TRL. Oh, nostalgia. I know, nostalgia stinks. Anyway, the post TRL era from 2009-2016 is no fun. Songs from 2009-2016 like Come & Get It and Dangerous Woman came out after TRL ended in late 2008. Poor 2009-2016 singles. I’m sure TRL will be making a special edition of post 2008 music from 2009-2016 so that way, we'll be able to see 2009-2016 music shine in the new TRL reboot. Anyway, let’s talk about the article from July 30 and Variety will give about the information about this.

“MTV has decided to change the name of its Video Music Award trophy — the Moonman statue — to Moon Person. Network president Chris McCarthy shared the news during an interview with The New York Times published on Sunday.

“Why should it be a man?” McCarthy proposed. “It could be a man, it could be a woman, it could be transgender, it could be nonconformist.”

The announcement comes as part of a push by MTV for more inclusive awards, including the decision to get rid of gendered acting categories at its Movie & TV Awards. Emma Watson beat out Taraji P. Henson, Daniel Kaluuya, Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, and Hailee Steinfeld to become the award’s first winner.

McCarthy also announced a new series called “We Are They.” The docuseries will recount gender nonconforming youths’ coming-of-age stories. He also revealed plans to bring back “Total Request Live” or “TRL.”

“Who’s not going to support a platform that’s covering all of the buckets of social media and cable to allow your artist to go on, play a video, perform a song and to talk about their new music that just got released?” he asked. “How do you say no to that? We’re going to give it a shot, a big shot.”

Carson Daly originally hosted the series from 1998-2005, and was replaced by a rotating lineup of hosts until the show’s cancellation in 2008. The new iteration will also have a revolving series of up-and-coming hosts, including rapper-comedian DC Young Fly and radio host Erik Zachary.

Katy Perry will host the 2017 VMAs on Aug. 27.”

Thank you so much, Variety. Now then, let the new era begin.

Vevo Got Hacked

Now then, let’s be clear. Vevo just got hacked. Yes, Vevo did get hacked on September 15. Ouch. Poor Vevo. This is why people listening to music don’t like music video streams like Vevo and stick with people listen to audio music and radio. That’s all people listen to music does these days. Why people listen to audio music and radio dominate people listen to music in the west and the only people watch music videos online these days is music videos going by sex and product branding and international. Blame capitalism and social media for screwing up people going online these days. Why people go on the internet only appeal capitalism and social media and avoid variety like music videos? Let me guess, kids and money. Yeah, that’s all the US does these days. No matter the US is already in a downward spiral for the last 11 years and never stops. I want my America is great back. Stupid today’s kids and social media.

Now then, as you may know that Vevo was hacked last week and Variety will tell you why Vevo just got hacked. Take it away, Variety.

“A notorious hacker group broke into the servers of music-streaming service Vevo, releasing more than 3 terabytes of internal documents and video content online — before removing them later Friday morning at Vevo’s request.

The purloined cache, posted by hacking and security collective OurMine, included videos, a batch of documents labeled “premieres,” as well as marketing info, international social-media documents, and other internal files, as first reported by tech site Gizmodo.

Vevo confirmed the hack, which it said was the result of a phishing scam via LinkedIn. “We have addressed the issue and are investigating the extent of exposure,” a Vevo rep said in an emailed statement.

The 3.12-terabyte trove of stolen documents included Vevo’s internal dossiers on about 9o artists, including Ariana Grande, Britney Spears, Calvin Harris, Florida Georgia Line, Jennifer Lopez, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Madonna, One Direction, Sia, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and U2.

OurMine, in a post on its site, claimed it leaked the Vevo files late Thursday after an exchange with a Vevo employee who — upon being informed of the hack — allegedly told the hackers, “F— off, you don’t have anything.

In an update Friday morning, OurMine said that “We deleted the files because of a request from VEVO.”

OurMine over the past few years has targeted numerous companies and high-profile individuals, ostensibly as a guerrilla-style marketing effort for its security services.

Last month, OurMine hijacked the social-media accounts of HBO, which separately this summer was threatened with extortion demands from a hacker that stole 1.5 TB of the programmer’s files. Other victims have included Netflix, Marvel, Google, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter chief Jack Dorsey.

New York-based Vevo is jointly owned by Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, Abu Dhabi Media, and Alphabet (Google’s parent).”

Thanks, Variety. See this? This is why western people like western kids have moved on from Vevo because music videos gained a lot of views on the internet only appeal sex and product branding sells most and product branding. That’s it. They don’t respect variety like country music and Avril Lavigne. Why, western music business, why? This is why I don’t trust hacking and capitalism. I want my variety back.

Stupid hackers.

Kelly Clarkson’s New Album, Meaning Of Life, To Be Out October 27

Happy September, everyone.

I’m so sorry for the lack of any new articles. I was to busy using my playing it safe. I hate play it safe. Why media has to play it safe and not taking risks these days. I hate media play it safe version of people take risks. It’s getting stale. I want my media taking risks and people play it safe back. Anyway…

On September 3, it appears that Kelly Clarkson announced the release of two new songs, Love So Soft and Move You, both coming out on September 7. So far, the music video for Love So Soft was at trending at number 4 on YouTube on September 8. Now then, Kelly Clarkson is back! And we’re not just talking about her return after two years off. She’s been revitalized, with an image and confidence not seen in a decade or more. Today she released two new songs from her upcoming album, Meaning Of Life. Love So Soft is the feisty first single, while Move You is a soulful ballad that shows her range. Both are amazing.

Love So Soft, the official first single, is a retro-modern take on soul diva and current pop trends. The verses take it back a few decades, but the chorus will fit right in on today’s radio. But nothing will prepare you for its new video. We’ll just say it: Love So Soft is her best music video in a decade. Gone are the days of simply singing in front of a green screen. Love So Soft shows the aging pop star in numerous settings and outfits and moods. Boy, do I love this video. Kelly Clarkson is pretty damn hot in this video despite she’s 35. Let’s continue.

It starts off with a 1950s vibe as Kelly Clarkson sings from the driver’s seat in an old car. We then see her in a flowing gold gown in a field of white, clad in blue in an expensive cliffside home, and surrounded by dancers on a red-lit stage. She becomes a crowd, identified by her hat, gloves, and blonde wig. And throughout the video, her incredible backup singers are at her side. Now then, why isn’t this on Vevo and it has to be Warner Brothers? Let me guess, Warner Brothers has no respect over Vevo and Vevo only appeal Warner Brothers-less music like Sony and Universal. Come on, Warner Brothers, pay attention to Vevo, not on your own. Damn, Warner Brothers. Anyway, let’s move on.

If that wasn’t enough, the Since U Been Gone singer also shared a lovely ballad called Move You. She’s stated it’s one of her favorite songs on her new album. Move You is gentle but sultry, slowly building up to its dramatic chorus and bridge. I hope Move You will be getting a music video this holiday season. Why? Because I want try something new to go by hits, not repeats and computers. Now that the songs get out of their way, its time to talk about the album.

Now then, as you may know that Kelly Clarkson has confirmed her upcoming, highly-anticipated album Meaning Of Life will be available on October 27th. For the past year, she has been touting her first album with Atlantic Records as very soulful, urban, R&B, and influenced by the ’90s. And if the clips of her new singles are anything to go by, the new music will more than live up to the expectations. As the Because Of You singer said herself, this is the start of her diva era!

In a YouTube Live Q&A, Kelly revealed more details about Meaning Of Life.  How would she described the new record? Two words: boss and sassy! Kelly Clarkson described it as a “grown-ass woman’s record,” and says it shows more of her personality than any of her albums with RCA ever showed. In contrast to the frequent label troubles Kelly Clarkson had during her 6-album contract with RCA, Kelly Clarkson now feels much freer with Atlantic. That’s because RCA has no respect over streaming music and RCA only markets commercial appeal and radio like Pink and avoid something like Britney Spears. I guess RCA don’t like streaming music and Britney Spears these days. Blame RCA trash streaming music like Kesha and stick with radio and commercial appeal like Justin Timberlake. Anyway, back to Kelly Clarkson She had much more creative control over this album, as well as more support and faith in her vision. That’s because streaming music is the future only appeal Universal/Warner Brothers/Adele/Beyonce and avoid Sony streaming music like Britney Spears because streaming music don’t like Sony like Britney Spears and stick with Warner Brothers/Universal/Adele/Beyonce. Stupid Sony.

In addition to that, Kelly Clarkson has worked with a ton of writers, musicians, and producers on this album. Jason Halbert, Greg Kurstin, Jesse Shatkin, The Monarch, Nick Ruth, and Mick Schultz all produced for Meaning Of Life.

Kelly Clarkson has finished recording her new album in June. We know the Piece By Piece singer worked with songwriters and producers like Jason Halbert, Ali Tamposi, Diztortion, J.R. Rotem, The Monarch production team, Claude Kelly, Sebastian Kole, and more. We also learned a new song title, It Matters To Me, which could be on the album. It’s just a matter of days before we hear the new single and find out more about the album.

What do you think? Are you excited for Kelly Clarkson’s upcoming album next month? Sound off below!

The Snippet Of Demi Lovato’s Second Single Leaked By Fans

Listen to Demi Lovato’s brand new song that just LEAKED off of her highly anticipated upcoming album and boy, this Demi Lovato album is about to be fire.

First things first. Happy Birthday to our girl Demi Lovato. 25’s a good age… just sayin. Well, Demi Lovato is smokin' hot. That's what I'm sayin'.

While Demi Lovato has been celebrating her big day, Lovatics are celebrating after getting a taste of what’s to come on Demi Lovato’s upcoming 6th album. Thanks to a major leak, you can now hear a snippet of an unreleased song called Tell Me You Love Me, and while it’s not a sure thing that the jam will be included on the album, it’s only to be assumed, right?

Anyway, is that a choir I hear? The Cool For The Summer singer has gone on record saying that she’s totally channeling the R&B vibes for her new music, and this snippet is totally in line with that. Only time will tell if Tell Me You Love Me will be included on the new record, but she has revealed that she already has a release date, title, and cover picked out, so obviously all her songs are locked and loaded and ready to go. Nice, it’s great to see Demi Lovato making different experiments of pop music. She does pop rock for her first 2 albums along with Confident’s Cool For The Summer. Then we need a deep mellow sound on Unbroken. Then we get to see a nice variety of pop music with Demi and Confident brought back a pop rock single thanks Cool For The Summer (I love that song). Now her sixth album will rely on R&B in pop. I’m so glad Demi Lovato is making great pop music because she is a great pop singer. But wait, that’s not all…

While she’s gearing up for the big release, the birthday girl is also getting candid about her love life. So she sat down with Sirius XM and got real personal, chatting all about that single life.

Girl, that adulating thing? I feel you. Demi Lovato also spread some wise truths saying QUOTE “I’m learning how to be comfortable with being alone and I think that’s the most important thing you can do for yourself, especially as a woman- to find your independence.”

Well, I think I speak for everybody when I say… preach. While I do prefer mainstream music from 1990-2004 (that’s for another day), Demi Lovato’s pop music is great too. Its great to see great pop music from 2009 onwards with the exception of 2017 (which is a very weak year for music). 2017 is such a lazy ass year for mainstream music. Nothing but streaming audio and radio and do a bunch of crap like Nick Music. Anyway, I can’t wait for her next music.

Now it’s time for all of you to weigh in on Demi Lovato’s LEAKED song. Are you buying the album? Sound off in the comments below!

Katy Perry Teases Swish Swish Music Video & It’s Packed With Celeb Cameos

As the Taylor vs. Katy feud continues around the same time Taylor Swift deleted all social media and Swifties freak out with theories. Anyway, Captain Katy is calling the shots in the new trailer for her music video for Swish Swish, which reveals an entire roster of famous friends gearing up for what might be a ‘hot mess’ of a basketball match, but really, what better way to carry out a music video for a song called Swish Swish than by some good ol’ competition on the court? Um, no. The song will flop because Taylor Swift is releasing her new music this Friday and that song will kick Swish Swish’s butt. Katy Perry really needs to release a better song off of her Witness album because Witness sold poorly and Katy Perry will lost her popularity to Taylor Swift. At least Katy Perry does look hot in her captain uniform. Well then, let’s continue.

In the teaser, Katy Perry stars as the Tigers team captain, along with Molly Shannon, who plays the Tigers’ coach. The Tigers face off against the Sheeps, in what may be in reference to the Swish Swish lyrics, as the hilarious coach Terry Crews attempts to take his team to victory, with Thor “the Mountain” Bjornsson pumping up the Sheeps as their captain. I personally think that video is gonna look stupid because I hate music videos going by product branding and sex. I want music videos to talk about heart and storytelling, not product branding and sex. You hear that, pop music? Let’s continue.

Many other famous faces will also be making cameos on each team, including Glee star Jenna Ushkowitz, Stranger Things' Gaten Matarazzo, YouTube star Christine Sydelko, basketball legend Bill Walton, and NFL commentator Rich Eisen, and we also got a tease of Nicki Minaj as herself, though she seems to be saving her grand appearance for the actual video. I would think it will be a disaster because 2014 was the peak of Katy Perry and this year’s music is doing so-so compared to her 2008-2014 career. Also, there’s still no high quality fully legit music videos that will gained hundreds of million views on YouTube. This is why Taylor Swift will own this video big time this weekend.

The video, directed by Dave Myers, sets up the showdown that Katy Perry is hyping up to be the “hottest mess in history”, as she took to social media to share the teaser, saying QUOTE, “COUNTDOWN TO CATASTROPHE #swishswish #thisweek”. Katy is no stranger to sharing the screen with costars, as seen from her 2011 music video for Last Friday Night, featuring a plethora of celebs, so we have no doubt that Swish Swish will shape up to be yet another Katy Perry classic. What do I think of this? No, it will flop because celebrities and radio don’t make the music what it sells these days and yet people buying music has to use celebrities/pop music/radio/big name producers/computer/bop/similar and it’s getting old fast. Sorry, KP. I’m waiting for the next Witness single thank you very much.

So let the countdown to catastrophe, celeb cameos, and one riveting ballgame commence, but for now, I want to hear all your thoughts on her new music video, after that, be sure to talk about if the rumors are true that Katy Perry and Taylor Swift will be performing together on the VMA stage next weekend. So get to talking down here in the comments below.

Katy Perry Has Postpone Her Witness Tour And Blames This

On August 17th, Katy Perry went on her Instagram on August 16th to deliver some good news and bad news to fans. But first, the bad news. Bad news sucks, but it’s always better when it comes with some good news as well.

As Katy Perry gears up for her Witness World Tour, she went on Instagram on August 16th to share some updates with fans. I always prefer to hear the bad news before the good news so the bad news the pop singer shared is that she has to postpone the tour. She wrote QUOTE - "Due to unavoidable production delays, major elements of my tour stage design could not be available for me to rehearse on until this week. I'll be spending the next few weeks taking the time to properly prepare the show to be an experience I am proud to share with you. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but hope everyone who sees the show will agree it was worth the wait." What does that mean? Well let’s continue.

The tour was originally scheduled to begin on September 7th in Columbus, but will now begin on September 19th in Montreal but she acknowledged the inconvenience by sending emails to the fans in the cities where the show dates were rescheduled saying - "To my wonderful fans in Buffalo, I'm very sorry that we could not find a rescheduled date that worked. If possible, I would love to see you in Toronto." So not the worst news in the world, but kinda sucks if you had tickets for one of the postponed shows.” That kinda sucks. Let’s continue.

But turn that frown upside down because there’s still good news! Katy Perry also announced that three special guests will be joining her on tour including Noah Cyrus, Purity Ring, and Carly Rae Jepsen. Noah Cyrus will be with her September 19-Nov 1st, Purity Ring November 7th through December 20th, and Carly Rae Jepsen January 5th through February 5th. So alls well that ends well. Imagine that. Let’s hope Katy Perry will be hosting the MTV VMAs this Sunday and see if she does it all. Good luck, KP.

What do you think? Are you disappointed that Katy Perry has postponed her Witness Tour? Sound off below!

Fall Out Boy Delays Release Of ‘M A N I A’ Until January 2018

Wow, 3 articles in just 1 day. Lucky me.

In April, Fall Out Boy announced their upcoming 7th album, M A N I A, would be out on September 15th. It came with their polarizing new single, “Young And Menace,” followed by Champion in June. Though we were only just weeks away from the album release, Fall Out Boy announced on August 3 that M A N I A has been delayed until the new year. Read frontman Patrick Stump’s explanation below:

Fall Out Boy confirmed as recently as this Tuesday that they’re still recording. Bassist Pete Wentz told Rolling Stone that they’re still recording the album, stating that they’re “a few songs away” from completion. Given that, it’s no surprise that Patrick said “it felt very rushed.” Patrick Stump continued, ”I’m never going to put a record out I genuinely don’t believe is at least as strong or valid as the one that came before it and in order to do that we need a little bit more time to properly and carefully record solid performances.

… We just want the record to be better than we can make it in the next couple weeks and it will require a little more time.”

M A N I A is now scheduled for release on January 19, 2018. Oh well. But hey, on August 1, Pete Wentz gave Rolling Stone some more details on the new music. He says that “Young And Menace” is the only song with much EDM influence so far, but that it was also necessary to help the band get out of their comfort zone. The album will serve as something of a restart for Fall Out Boy.

“It feels like every once in awhile, you’ve gotta do a hard restart that clears the cache and erases the hard drive. I think that’s what “Young and Menace” was – a big palette cleanse. I think it gave us the space to create something brand new. The world can be a big lonely place, especially for kids who are trying to figure themselves out. I think sometimes we can forget that… that’s who M A N I A is meant to speak to. That’s who I want to reach. I don’t think that kids should feel like they need to adjust their empathy or selves to the world – I’d rather give them the belief that they can adjust the world to fit their empathy.”

He added, “Sonically, we are sewing multiple eras of – both our own band and own influences – together in a way that is completely new to us through both the production and writing process.”

He assures that they’ll always sound like Fall Out Boy: “How Patrick sings against the music – it is just inherently there.” Ultimately, their goal for the new record is “to outlive the brand and exist on its own.”

Pete Wentz revealed the they’ve worked with Jesse Shatkins, Jake Sinclair, and The Dream on this album. They recorded it in Burbank, the Los Angeles valley, and the suburbs of Chicago.

Although we have to wait an extra four months to hear M A N I A, at least we know Fall Out Boy is putting in the effort to make sure it’s worth the wait. We’re sure the album will be stronger because of it. Look for M A N I A on January 19, 2018. In the meantime, keep enjoying Young And Menace and Champion.

What you think? Are you disappoint the the upcoming Fall Out Boy album delayed to January 18 just because the band wanted to give more time? Sound off below!

Taylor Swift’s Traumatic Testimony During Groping Trial

Swifites, brace yourself.

5 days ago, Taylor Swift has officially taken the stand to testify her side of the groping case against a Colorado DJ as she recalls the traumatic event that left her in complete shock. Anyway, it’s been a long time coming for the Bad Blood singer to share her side of the story, and for the sake of all women, she’s letting her voice be heard.

On August 10, this marks the fourth day of the ongoing legal battle between Taylor Swift and Colorado DJ David Mueller, who she claims groped her bare butt during a meet and greet back in 2013, but on the same day also marks her first time being asked to take the stands.

Donning a floral summer dress, Taylor Swift was called up by David Mueller’s attorney Gabriel McFarland, where she was asked about her encounter with David while taking a photo together, to which she began detailing the traumatic experience by saying QUOTE, “It was a definite grab. A very long grab.” That’s why Taylor Swift has a butt. Why? Because she has a butt. You know everybody on the planet have a butt. Well, let’s continue.

When asked how long the alleged grab took place, the Blank Space singer responded by saying, “I don’t think it would be wise to estimate time in court, but I know it was long enough for me to be completely sure that it was intentional.” Then she was then asked further questions about the incident, including whether he grabbed her “bare” bottom, to which she responded, “yes”, and went into further detail, saying, “He stayed latched onto my bare ass cheek… I felt him grab onto my ass cheek underneath my skirt. The first couple of milliseconds I thought it must be a mistake, so I moved to the side very quickly so that his side would be removed from my ass cheek, but it didn’t let go.” I was right, she does talk about her butt. This is why I love female butts. Too bad that’s sexual harassment in the public. Let’s move on.

She was then asked if she tried to get away, to which Taylor Swift explained that it was a very shocking thing that has never happened to her before, and that “This was not something I had ever dealt with. I got as far away from him as I possibly could.”

Her mother Andrea Swift also took the stands yesterday, and even broke down as she recounted the details she was given by The Best Day singer just minutes after the incident occurred. Her mom started off by saying, “I knew what happened, I heard it from her, I heard it from my daughter's mouth. He sexually assaulted her, right there, that guy," as she pointed directly at Mueller. She then recalled the Picture To Burn singer coming up to her and saying, ‘Mom, a guy just grabbed my ass in the meet-and-greet’ and said that Taylor Swift also told her that the man was QUOTE, “with the radio station.”

She then broke down in tears as she recalled what Taylor Swift told her about Mueller taking part in the photo op, saying, “She couldn't believe that after he grabbed her, that she thanked them for being there. It was just destroying her that she said that...as a parent it made me question why I taught her to be so polite in that moment.”

Andrea Swift also revealed why they didn’t report the incident to the police then and there, saying that she didn’t want it to “define” The Red singer’s life, but that she was QUOTE, “…upset to the point where I wanted to vomit and cry at the same time.” It was shortly after that Andrea admitted that they felt it was imperative to let his employers know what happened. This is bad. We got to do something. Poor T.Swift.

More details of the trial are slowly trickling in, but until then, we’re only hoping for a promising outcome, not just for Taylor Swift, but for everyone keeping up who’s been affected by sexual assault. Wow, I do gotta believe that Taylor Swift relives traumatic experience in testimony during trial. Let’s continue.

Rightfully so, Taylor Swift’s testimony against the man she reveals groped her bare butt during a meet and greet in 2013 is sparking conversation and support amongst the Internet. Quotes from her testimony were released yesterday, and she garnered up loads of praise for her bold, powerful statements when questioned by Mueller’s attorney, from fans, celebrities and even people who aren’t fans of the singer.

Bits of Tay’s squad have shown their full support for the singer, including her good friend Lena Dunham who tweeted out her support following the testimony, writing QUOTE, “Proud of @taylorswift13 for her fierce & cutting testimony & her refusal to settle for being treated like property. Her example is powerful.” Hayley Williams of Paramore wrote, “@taylorswift13 thanks for standing up for women. Ilysm” and Nelly Furtado could absolutely relate, saying, “Been in several meet n' greets where radio staff attempt to cross lines. Love @taylorswift13 for fighting 4 women's safety in the workplace.” Good job, internet shows support for Taylor Swift amid trial. Keep up the good work.

Tay’s good friend Jamie King also tweeted out, “.@taylorswift13 is (insert curse word here) BRAVE. ALL deserve justice- to be heard, honored & respected. No matter race, creed, socioeconomic status, gender”. Many others came forward praising her for her quick whips back when asked questions like “aren’t you critical of your bodyguard, who didn’t put an end to what was happening?” to which she responded with, “I’m critical of your client sticking his hand under my skirt and grabbing my ass.” This is why I don’t like sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is not only bugging Taylor Swift, but also bothering us. Stupid, sexual harassment.

More fans wrote sweet and uplifting messages like, “It is SO important for sexual assault victims to be confident & stand up for what they KNOW happened & the Out Of The Woods singer is out there setting that example” and others, including author Dana Schwartz shared insight into what people should be taking into consideration, saying, “A few facts to remember about the Taylor Swift lawsuit today: 1. she's not there for attention, or wasting court resources: this DJ sued HER.”

The Internet was also LIVING for the post-it messages written in the window across the street from the court house by an office full of women, writing things like, “Haterz Gonna Hate”, “I Knew You Were Trouble”, and “Free Tay!” All this support has been overwhelming and most likely much appreciated by Taylor and her team, however there are many celebs who have yet to share their support and have been noticeably silent this week. I hope you think of her.

One news outlet claims that many feminists have come forth and shown their support, their voice, and have even physically marched for women alike. The outlet gave examples during Donald Trump’s disturbing misogynistic comments and even Kesha’s case against Dr. Luke to name a few examples, that celebrities have used their platform to spread light and support on problems we face, and shouldn’t be facing every single day. This is why I don’t trust adults don’t like each other. Adults don’t like each other is ruining there are more adults than kids these days. Stupid kids is better than adults.

But because this woman, who is currently taking a stand and asking for NO monetary benefit out of this, is, in fact, Taylor Swift, feminists have gone silent. Many have pointed out that because she is Taylor Swift, she just can’t win. When she donated money to Kesha’s court case, she was slammed by people like Demi Lovato, who tweeted back, “Take something to Capitol Hill or actually speak out about something and then I’ll be impressed.” When she tweeted her praise for women around the world who participated in the women’s march, she was slammed for not physically being there. No matter which side you stand on, it’s important to understand the real issue at heart, which is sexual assault, that should never be tolerated or silenced, no matter who you are… just something to think about!

But I’ve gotta hand it to Taylor Swift for her brave testimony and for speaking her mind when it may seem impossible or shameful for other victims of sexual assault to do so. Quite a force to be reckoned with! So right now I want to know all your thoughts on all the support Taylor Swift has received and why it is you think some of Hollywood may still be silenced. Hopefully, Taylor Swift will be releasing her sixth album next year and hopefully she will be releasing her fresh material ASAP. No more writing song about boys and anthem bop.

That do you think of this article? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments.

Zendaya Stars In Bruno Mars’s Sexy Versace On The Floor Video

3 days ago, Bruno Mars released a brand new music video for Versace On The Floor on YouTube. So far, the music video gained more than 7 million views on YouTube yesterday. Plus, we got something to ask. So…

Just in case you were wondering if Bruno Mars’s latest hit, Versace on The Floor could get any better, I’m here to tell you all that it JUST. DID.

Bruno Mars dropped the totally unannounced music video for the jam, which stars our girl, Zendaya, looking absolutely incredible in, you guessed it, Versace.

In fact, both Zendaya and the Grenade singer are rocking the Versace ‘fits, looking all sorts of fine. And as he sits at the piano serenading, Zendaya listens from behind the wall of the hotel room next door, dancing along to the music, until she literally hits the bed, causing us all to LOSE ALL CHILL. Yeah, you go, Zendaya.

And as the music video comes to and end, Zendaya’s dress drops to the floor. But even though the screen goes black, there is a knock at the door… You do the math.

Another incredible song and video that just proves Bruno Mars totally deserves all the recognition he gets, including the incredible honor at this year’s Teen Choice Awards. The R&B Funk star was given the Visionary Award for his contributions to contemporary music.

Now I gotta say that Zendaya is smoking hot. 4 years ago, Zendaya released her 2013 single, Replay. Then, 2 years ago, she appeared in Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood music video featuring Kendrick Lamar from 2015. Now I gotta hear from you because I’m still recovering my blogging skills. Lol. I’m not a very good music blogger these days. Yeah, blame the fact 2017 is a weak year for music. Nothing but streaming audio music and radio. Even people watching music vies online doesn’t help. I hate today’s America’s music. I miss America is great appearance.

So, what do you think? What you like like about Zendaya appearing in Bruno Mars’s Versace On The Floor music video? Please leave your reactions to the video in the comments below.

Fifth Harmony, Miley Cyrus And More Announced To Perform At 2017 MTV VMAs

So it looks like MTV just announced their lineup at the VMAs and it is hoooot. That’s right. We are talkin’ Miley, Lorde, Ed, Shawn, and more!

The hype train for the August 27th VMA’s is about to depart, so grab your tickets before they sell out. It’s going to be hosted by Katy Perry and the star studded lineup is sure to get the party started. Here’s who we have confirmed so far: The Weeknd, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Shawn Mendes, Miley Cyrus, Lorde, Ed Sheeran and 5th Harmony! Oh by the way, there are still more to names to be dropped later this month.

BUT, It’s going to be some tough competition this year, Ed sheeran, The Weeknd and Lorde are ALL competing for Artist Of The Year award. And the best pop award is going to be a tossup between Malibu by Miley, and Down by 5th Harmony.

This just in, Miley Cyrus tweeted out an awesome picture of her in a spacesuit looking ready for the VMAs. And Ally Brooke from 5H just tweeted “We’re performing at the VMAS, I REPEAT, WE’RE PERFORMING AT THE FREAKING VMAS!”

Also the VMAs are going to be making history, they got rid of gendered categories for the first time, and they also added a “Best Fight Against The System” category. Now that’s what I’m talking about. Smart move, VMAs. Although getting an award from a television network for fighting against the system seems a bit ironic, something get what they’re going for. Well, everybody will keep waiting for MTV to release more awesome teaser clips, but until then I want to turn the discussion over to YOU guys.

In addition to that, I’m pretty disappointed for the lack of variety like Five Finger Death Punch and Amy Lee. All performers does these days is pop music and celebrities. Nothing but pop music and celebrities. No diversity like Avril Lavigne and Little Mix. I guess MTV playing music over the air only have VMAs. That’s all MTV playing music over the air does these days, VMAs. Pretty disappointed.

What do you think of Katy Perry hosting this year’s VMAs? Also who do you think is going to have the BEST PERFORMANCE? Sound off below!

Katy Perry Set To Host 2017 MTV VMAs

Happy August, everyone.

The time has now come. Brace yourselves, KatyCats…

Brace for impact, Katy Perry just landed a host gig for the 2017 MTV VMAs
Swish, swish, wish another one in the basket for Katy Perry as she shared the big news today on Twitter with a pretty intense promo video. She captioned the tweet saying “Introducing your MOONWOMAN. Brace for impact.” If you’re not getting what she’s putting down check out this video.

Was it just me or did that smoldering look she gave when the beat dropped touch the depths of your soul! Yes to a person who has 100 million followers on Twitter! As you guys could see in the promo the Firework singer is floating around in the space dressed at the shows iconic moonman. Or shall i say Moonwomen. or better yet moon statue.

The statue isn’t the only thing getting a new make over. For the first time since its inception in 1984 the VMAs will no longer have gender specific awards. Its a big year for the award show and we couldn’t think of anyone better to run the show than Ms. Perry. The singer will be joining the ranks of fellow musical hosts like Miley Cyrus, Jack Black, and Diddy.

KP is really on top right now, she’s had her fourth major label album, she’s handled the beef with Tswift, she even has 5 nominations at the very award show that she is going to be hosting! I’ve said it once but I’ll say it again, Swish, swish, bish. Unfortunately, the number 1 debuted album flopped as the single, Swish Swish flopped on the Billboard charts. But still, I’m sure she will have a good time hosting the VMAs this year.

Alright friends what are your thoughts on Katy Perry hosting the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards? Hit the comments below!

Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington Dies At Age 41

Parkymons, yes I know that’s the name of a Linkin Park fan, Parkymon. Anyway, Parkymons, I have some sad news...

On July 20, 2017, a devastating day for the lead singer of Linkin Park, Chester Bennington’s family, friends, and fans, as it was discovered the Linkin Park singer took his own life on Thursday morning.

TMZ reported that Chester Bennington’s body was found at his residence in Palos Verdes Estates in LA County on Thursday morning. The singer had hung himself and his body was discovered just before 9AM.

At the time of his death, Chester Bennington was 41 years old and married with 6 children from 2 different wives.

The rock band’s lead singer notoriously struggled with drugs and alcohol for years, and had previously admitted that he had considered committing suicide in the past because he had suffered abuse as a child at the hands of an older male.

As Linkin Park’s lead singer, Chester Bennington helped the band reach huge commercial success with their 200 debut album, Hybrid Theory. The band has had a string of hits over the years, including Faint, In the End and Crawling. They collaborated with Jay Z for the EP “Collision Course”, which produced the hit mashup, Numb/Encor”. The band's most recent album, One More Light, topped the Billboard 200 earlier this year.

Chester Bennington was very close with fellow rock star Chris Cornell, who also committed suicide by hanging in May of this year, and Chester Bennington even wrote an open letter to Chris Cornell on the day of Chris Cornell's suicide. Today would have been Chris Cornell’s 53rd birthday, which undoubtedly would have been a difficult time for the Linkin Park lead singer.

The news of Chester Bennington’s suicide sadly comes the same day that Linkin Park released it’s new music video for their latest single, Talking to Myself. Fans have flooded the comments of the video with their condolences and hopes that Chester Bennington will rest in peace.

Such a tragic end for such a remarkably talented and beloved musician. All of our thoughts and prayers are going out to his family, friends, and fans, during this extremely difficult time.

Ouch, Chester Bennington had died at age 41 and I was shocked. I guess underage people die young is on the rise these days. First Chris Cornell’s death, but now this. Why? How many underaged people dieds do we need these days? It’s getting old fast. This is what happens since America is very ignorant on variety because America don’t respect variety and stick with big repeats so they can make money. How will America ever getting America variety back? It’s so sad. I hope Parkymons mourn the loss of the Linkin Park singer. He is such a talented musician and yet people like kids don't respect good singers like him. People only like bad and avoid good so they can make money. How will music ever gonna think about MTV or streaming music videos if all music business does these days is radio and streaming audio. I want my people watch music videos online and MTV playing music videos back. Stupid change. Rant/ramble over.

R.I.P. Chester Bennington 1976-2017

Kelly Clarkson Finishing Album, Out Later This Year!

Hey guys, heads up…

Last month, as we’re getting closer to hearing Kelly Clarkson’s new album! Last summer, after 14 years with RCA, Kelly announced her move to Atlantic Records. She also excitedly confirmed that her upcoming 7th album will be much more soulful, urban, and R&B than the pop rock we’re used to hearing from her. Over the last year, the aging pop star shared tons of song clips, videos, and photos from the studio. We also learned about many different songwriters involved in the new record. Now, a full year after her initial announcement, it looks like Kelly is just about ready to release the new music. She took to Twitter on to answer fans’ pressing questions. First of all, why do we need Warner Brothers Records version of Vevo artists? Why are they still making Warner Brothers Records version of Vevo artists? I hate Warner Brothers Records version of Vevo artists? Also, why is it necessary to have a Vevo artist like Rita Ora make a Warner Brothers Records music these days? Also, why do we need Vevo-less music videos? I hate Vevo-less music videos. Why can’t all official music videos be on Vevo? I guess people listening to music don’t like Vevo and Vevo only appeal radio and mainstream commercial appeal. Vevo don’t appeal music artists as a whole like Vanessa Carlton and Amy Lee. Please put all music videos on Vevo website, Vevo. Times change. But that’s for another day. Let’s move on.

First and foremost, her lead single will be out… soon. Kelly Clarkson originally wanted it out in April, then said May, so there’s no telling when we’ll actually hear it. But it won’t be too long.

“Soon…. I am SO excited for everyone to hear this album!! Hands down my favorite project I've ever been a part of!

— Kelly Clarkson (@kelly_clarkson) June 6, 2017”

And despite some recent, alarming rumors of a delay to 2018, the Catch my Breath singer confirmed that the album will be out this year.

“You've been listening to the wrong rumors is all I'm sayin'

— Kelly Clarkson (@kelly_clarkson) June 6, 2017”

So she has chosen the album’s title already. She just won’t tell us what it is yet. All in due time.

“Yes ….and no

— Kelly Clarkson (@kelly_clarkson) June 6, 2017”

In addition, she has posted a new studio photo on Instagram. It looks like Kelly Clarkson is officially finishing up recording on June 8! So check it out.

After a year full of recording, it won’t be long now. We know Kelly Clarkson has worked with songwriters and producers like Jason Halbert, Ali Tamposi, Diztortion, J.R. Rotem, The Monarch production team, Claude Kelly, Sebastian Kole, and more. We also learned a new song title – It Matters To Me – which could be on the album. It’s just a matter of weeks before we find out more about the album. I mean, by the end of summer though as she’s nearly done with the album. I hope this will be a new success, not success going by repeats and computer.

Anyway, what are your thought’s on this year’s upcoming Kelly Clarkson album this fall? Sound off below!
