I’m so sorry for the lack of any new articles. I was to busy
using my playing it safe. I hate play it safe. Why media has to play it safe
and not taking risks these days. I hate media play it safe version of people
take risks. It’s getting stale. I want my media taking risks and people play it
safe back. Anyway…
On September 3, it appears that Kelly Clarkson announced the
release of two new songs, Love So Soft and Move You, both coming out on
September 7. So far, the music video for Love So Soft was at trending at number
4 on YouTube on September 8. Now then, Kelly Clarkson is back! And we’re not
just talking about her return after two years off. She’s been revitalized, with
an image and confidence not seen in a decade or more. Today she released two
new songs from her upcoming album, Meaning Of Life. Love So Soft is the feisty
first single, while Move You is a soulful ballad that shows her range. Both are
amazing.
Love So Soft, the official first single, is a retro-modern
take on soul diva and current pop trends. The verses take it back a few
decades, but the chorus will fit right in on today’s radio. But nothing will
prepare you for its new video. We’ll just say it: Love So Soft is her best
music video in a decade. Gone are the days of simply singing in front of a
green screen. Love So Soft shows the aging pop star in numerous settings and
outfits and moods. Boy, do I love this video. Kelly Clarkson is pretty damn hot
in this video despite she’s 35. Let’s continue.
It starts off with a 1950s vibe as Kelly Clarkson sings from
the driver’s seat in an old car. We then see her in a flowing gold gown in a
field of white, clad in blue in an expensive cliffside home, and surrounded by
dancers on a red-lit stage. She becomes a crowd, identified by her hat, gloves,
and blonde wig. And throughout the video, her incredible backup singers are at
her side. Now then, why isn’t this on Vevo and it has to be Warner Brothers?
Let me guess, Warner Brothers has no respect over Vevo and Vevo only appeal
Warner Brothers-less music like Sony and Universal. Come on, Warner Brothers, pay
attention to Vevo, not on your own. Damn, Warner Brothers. Anyway, let’s move
on.
If that wasn’t enough, the Since U Been Gone singer also
shared a lovely ballad called Move You. She’s stated it’s one of her favorite
songs on her new album. Move You is gentle but sultry, slowly building up to
its dramatic chorus and bridge. I hope Move You will be getting a music video
this holiday season. Why? Because I want try something new to go by hits, not
repeats and computers. Now that the songs get out of their way, its time to
talk about the album.
Now then, as you may know that Kelly Clarkson has confirmed
her upcoming, highly-anticipated album Meaning Of Life will be available on
October 27th. For the past year, she has been touting her first album with Atlantic
Records as very soulful, urban, R&B, and influenced by the ’90s. And if the
clips of her new singles are anything to go by, the new music will more than
live up to the expectations. As the Because Of You singer said herself, this is
the start of her diva era!
In a YouTube Live Q&A, Kelly revealed more details about
Meaning Of Life. How would she described
the new record? Two words: boss and sassy! Kelly Clarkson described it as a
“grown-ass woman’s record,” and says it shows more of her personality than any
of her albums with RCA ever showed. In contrast to the frequent label troubles
Kelly Clarkson had during her 6-album contract with RCA, Kelly Clarkson now
feels much freer with Atlantic. That’s because RCA has no respect over
streaming music and RCA only markets commercial appeal and radio like Pink and
avoid something like Britney Spears. I guess RCA don’t like streaming music and
Britney Spears these days. Blame RCA trash streaming music like Kesha and stick
with radio and commercial appeal like Justin Timberlake. Anyway, back to Kelly
Clarkson She had much more creative control over this album, as well as more
support and faith in her vision. That’s because streaming music is the future
only appeal Universal/Warner Brothers/Adele/Beyonce and avoid Sony streaming
music like Britney Spears because streaming music don’t like Sony like Britney
Spears and stick with Warner Brothers/Universal/Adele/Beyonce. Stupid Sony.
In addition to that, Kelly Clarkson has worked with a ton of
writers, musicians, and producers on this album. Jason Halbert, Greg Kurstin,
Jesse Shatkin, The Monarch, Nick Ruth, and Mick Schultz all produced for
Meaning Of Life.
Kelly Clarkson has finished recording her new album in June.
We know the Piece By Piece singer worked with songwriters and producers like
Jason Halbert, Ali Tamposi, Diztortion, J.R. Rotem, The Monarch production
team, Claude Kelly, Sebastian Kole, and more. We also learned a new song title,
It Matters To Me, which could be on the album. It’s just a matter of days
before we hear the new single and find out more about the album.
What do you think? Are you excited for Kelly Clarkson’s
upcoming album next month? Sound off below!
