Iggy Azalea Got Mo Booty

Following the disappointment of 2015’s Pretty Girls starring Britney Spears and 2016’s Team, Iggy Azalea is back for another round with another singled, Mo Bounce. So far, it looks like the hot Australian chick is not slowing down anytime soon. That’s awesome. Anyway…

Only three weeks after releasing her her new single, Can’t Lose, the 26-year-old rapper has dropped another jam and a NSFW video to with it. We all know that the single is Mo Bounce.

"My new single #MoBounce is officially out now!!" the "Fancy" singer shared with her seven million followers on Thursday.

The accompanying Mo Bounce video premiered on YouTube on Friday, featuring the hot Australian rapper and her hot butt front and center twerking all over Hong Kong. Surrounded by a handful of neon-clad dancers, the Australia native bounces around with that sassy confidence that we all know and love.

"Im so glad to see all the positive feedback the #MoBounceVideo is getting," she tweeted on Friday, thanking fans for their support. "You guys are so hyped, I love it. :-)"

Mo Bounce is the second single off of her upcoming album, Digital Distortion. 4 days after the video uploaded to YouTube, the video gained nearly 11 million views on YouTube. That’s more than Carrie Underwood music videos (Again, this is why I hate mainstream music got more views than country music version of people streaming music. Why people streaming music hates country and rock and stick with country and rock-less music these days. Damn, computer and radio these days). Good job, Miss Australian Rapper.

Pretty Awesome. It’s nice to see Iggy Azalea gets to make more music videos as well as making rap/hip-hop music that involve not only creativity, but also slapstick humor as well. I love the video too. Unfortunately, it’s just product branding and sex. At least she’s pretty damn hot. I do enjoy this video. Maybe one day, Iggy Azalea might be the hottest female artist right now. Sorry, Beyonce. There's a Australian female diva around and her name is Iggy Azalea. We need more Iggy Azalea this year. 2014 might not be enough.

What do you think of the latest single? What are your though on this video? Sound off!

Carrie Underwood Celebrates 100 Opry Performances

Following the success of the sold-out Storyteller tour with four Storyteller singles spawned including Dirty Laundry, Carrie Underwood managed to take on a random song released by a random non-mainstream music singer called The Fighter. So far, the music video was aired on NickMusic (great song by the way.) and reached the top 10 in the US Hot Country Songs (Billboard) chart. But wait, we can’t stop there…

Carrie Underwood celebrated a major milestone at the Grand Ole Opry over the weekend with her 100th performance in the iconic circle. The singer took part in four sold-out shows while being recognized for her big achievement.

Opry and Country Music Hall of Fame member Connie Smith introduced the pop star (I know Carrie Underwood isn't a pop singer. But hey, Carrie is Carrie. So who knows.) during Saturday’s (March 25) first show, where she presented her fellow Opry member with a commemorative print and a rose bouquet in celebration of 100 Opry appearances.

“Opry fans, all of us Opry members, and the entire Opry family are excited when you come home to the Opry stage,” Smith told the pop singer. “Even when you’ve been on the road more than 200 days a year, you’ve always come back to the Opry. That tells me you love us, and we love you right back.”

“I grew up dreaming of one day performing here and maybe even becoming a member. That dream comes true over and over each time I take the Opry stage,” the pop superstar said. “Here’s to the next 100!”

She has made her Opry debut on June 10, 2005, less than two weeks after winning American Idol. Invited by Randy Travis, she became an Opry member in 2008. Nine years later, Carrie Underwood celebrated her 100-show milestone onstage and backstage, with a special cake from Nashville’s IveyCake and 100 pink roses in her dressing room — a surprise gift from the Opry.

She also shared some of the fun with fans via Instagram, writing, “When you play your 100th show at the @opry you shove your face into some delicious #IveyCake !!! That’s just the way it goes! What an amazing night! Thanks to everyone who shared it with me!”

Woah, it’s nice to see Carrie Underwood performing her 100th Opry performance. But still, I wish country music gets more views in the streaming realm. It’s kinda sad that people like adults streaming music only knows mainstream music these days and not country music including Carrie Underwood. Blame America for being anti-country music jerks. Man, why America is anti-country music jerks and stick with junk music like Pink these days?

Man, country music like Carrie Underwood has always been so poorly managed in terms of Billboard charts, worldwide market and streaming music. There are literally so many country music including country hits on country radio in the country music market that could've been better choices on streaming music and overseas like UK than country songs played on country radio and market to North America they ended up going with. The biggest atrocity was Nashville because country songs like Carrie Underwood songs should've most definitely have been ideal for other countries like Australia and streaming sites like Vevo and anyone with ears would agree with that. Even Carrie Underwood hits like Two Black Caddilacs and Church Bells should've been properly released with a worldwide appeal like Japan and gets more views on YouTube and Vevo instead of that messy US/Canada version of North America/Nashville/local they did with the fact country music are not popular music.

I mean, country songs like Highway Don’t Care and The Fighter was the real smash that other countries like France and streaming like Spotify got away though. They decided to release country music to only US and Canada where they should’ve released everywhere but no, people listening to popular music was forced to hear mainstream music like pop music and avoid country music like Carrie Underwood. What a messy, messy marketing campaign. They should've just released country music including Carrie Undwerwood everywhere because that was the popular music that people liked from the music business.

Country music is one of the most poorly managed I've ever witnessed of a popular music genre. Country music had so many songs that could've been considered "country hits", they just never got a chance because popular music and people listening to music are anti-country music jerks and stick with country music-less popular music like rock music these days. Why, North America and Nashville, why? Anyway, I would like Carrie Underwood to try pop music as a side project after her second child and as soon as she take a break from country music. It would be nice if Carrie Underwood can break away from country music and head into the mainstream as long as she can go crossover to the pop realm and release pop music as side projects for pop market. That way, Carrie Underwood will be the crossover to both pop and country at the same time. Country music for country market (and fans too) and pop music for pop market. Make her future pop music heart and emotions too. That would be my dream.

Anyway, what do think of Carrie Underwood performing her 100th Opry performance? Sound off below!

Becky G To Be Featured In Power Rangers

Hey guys, heads up...

A new Power Rangers movie was released in North America yesterday, March 24. As you may know that Becky G was featured. This is not music related. This has to do with Becky G's career in a Power Rangers movie. Yes, Becky G's career is a music artist. But she also plays a character in a Power Rangers movie where she played Trini, a Yellow Ranger.

As you may know that Becky G has played the Yellow Ranger, Trini, in the 2017 Power Rangers movie. Her performance was recieved positively and made universal headlines, being the first queer Power Ranger. So it appears that Becky G is a Power Rangers fan. I mean, Power Rangers is for boys because it's a kids' show. Yet she loves Power Rangers. What the fart? Anyway, the reason she plays Trini is because she is a Power Rangers fan back in the mid 2000s. OK? Let's continue.

In 2015, the same year she released Break A Sweat, Becky G, who previously appeared in two episodes of the hit series Empire, was cast as Trini as I mentioned earlier in the Power Rangers movie. So she traveled to Vancouver, Canada to film Power Rangers. Filming occured from February 29 to May 28 and Power Rangers was released in March 2017. The first Power Rangers' Synopsis is a throwback to the original series according to Collider. Nice, it's good to see the hot pop singer appearing in a PG-13 movie based on a kids' show. I hope Becky G. will do a good job playing Trini in a Power Rangers movie. Let's hope the movie was a box office success.

Power Rangers is out now since yesterday. So if you haven't seen a live action Power Rangers movie, you should go see it.

By the way, Becky G will planned to release her first album later this year. So keep in mind.

Next time on PM's Music World, Iggy Azalea has just released her new single and her new music video. So stay tuned.

Enter 2017 Woodies

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of blogging my blog articles in my blog. I'm really busy doiung other stuff like playing Pokemon on my 3DS. But I'm here now.

5 days ago, MTV has aired the 2017 MTVU Woodie Awards and the 2017 MTVU Woodies was hosted by rapper Rick Ross. It was aired on MTV on March 16, the day before St. Patrick's Day.

Following Rick Ross's host at the 2017 Woodies, there are performers including DRAM with Lil Yatchy (who performs a major mash up of Cash Machine, One Night, and Broccoli), Starley (Call On Me), Khalid (Let Go and Location), Jidenna (Helicopters), Desiigner (Outlet) and of course, Rick Ross himself (I Think She Like Me from his new album, Rather You Than Me). The Chainsmokrs were our big winner of the night, taking home Woodie Of The Year. Congrats, The Chainsmokers. You earned it.

Also, last month, during February Epic Records has confirmed that Rick Ross will be hosting the 2017 MTV Woodies. Now then, here's what Epic Records has to say about this.

Epic Records - "New York, NY (February 23, 2017) – MTV today announced that four-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated and multiplatinum, 21st century rap legend, Rick Ross will host and perform at the “2017 MTV Woodies.” The 13th annual “MTV Woodies,” will air LIVE on Thursday, March 16 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT from Austin, Texas during South by Southwest Music Festival (SXSW). Prior to the one-hour live telecast, MTV will once again host its emerging artist festival beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET which will be available via livestream on woodies.mtv.com. Additional performers will be announced at a later date.

“I’m excited to attend SXSW this year. The biggest boss is hosting the ‘Woodies’ and my album drops March 17. MTV, get ready.”

“Untouchable” is the best way to describe Rick Ross’s decade-plus run at the top of rap. Along the way, he achieved five Billboard Top 200 #1 debuts and three #2 debuts, received four GRAMMY Award® nominations, graced the cover of Rolling Stone twice, and made history more than once. His debut single “Hustlin’” became the “first mastertone ever certified RIAA platinum before the associated album had been released.” He sold millions of singles and albums and cemented his status as one of rap’s biggest and brashest voices. Moreover, he founded Maybach Music Group home to Meek Mill, Wale, and more. Signing to Epic Records in 2016, his “untouchable” streak continues with the March 17 release of his ninth full-length “Rather You Than Me.”

The “MTV Woodies” is a yearly event that spotlights an eclectic roster of emerging artists across musical genres. The 2016 line-up boasted Anderson Paak & The Free Nationals, A$AP Ferg, BØRNS, The Chainsmokers, CHVRCHES, Jack Garratt, Jidenna, Kehlani and Lukas Graham. Past “MTV Woodies” performers include Wiz Khalifa, Twenty One Pilots, Sam Smith, Iggy Azalea, Steve Aoki, Foo Fighters, Odd Future, The 1975, Childish Gambino, Santigold and Mac Miller.

Official sponsors of the “2017 MTV Woodies” broadcast include Cricket Wireless, Doritos®, Pepsi®, REESE’S Peanut Butter Cups and State Farm®.

Garrett English and Ryan Kroft are the Executive Producers with Vanessa Whitewolf and Andria Parides serving as Producers for the “2017 MTV Woodies.”

MTV is a global youth culture brand inspired by music. For more information, check out mtvpress.com. MTV is a unit of Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAB, VIA)."

Thanks, Epic Records. I think this is a good fit for Rick Ross to be the host of the 2017 Woodies.

Next time, on PM's Music World, I'll be talking about the problem with the music business's marketing department. Until then, I'm signing out.

In addition, Demi Lovato will appear at the 2017 Kids' Choice Awards alongside Zendaya, Chainsmokers, Nick Cannon and more. Avril Lavigne Is Releasing Her Sixth Album In 2017

Now then, as you may know that Avril Lavigne is moving to another record label called BMG. Like RCA and Epic Records, BMG is a Sony label and BMG is the largest independent label in Sony Music Entertainment.

“Late in 2016, Avril Lavigne announced that she is planning to release a new album in 2017. Over the last two months, she’s given hints about the lyrics and song titles, including possible names like “Warrior” and “Crush.” Today, she revealed even more: Avril Lavigne has signed on with BMG! This marks a departure from Epic Records, who released her self-titled fifth studio album in 2013.”, Hidden Jams Music replied, “In the time since that last record, Avril has battled Lyme Disease, and that experience seems to have impacted how she wants to live her life going forward. This new album will likely reflect that experience.” Now then let’s check out Avril Lavigne’s announcement and behind-the-scenes video below:

“For this album, I have a new team behind me and I’ve just signed with BMG. I’ve been working really hard on the new music, and it’s a reflection of my journey over the last few years. At this point in my career, and in my life, I just wanted to put fresh energy around me, and I feel like I’m having somewhat of a rebirth in my life. I’ve been faced with a lot and gone through a lot emotionally. The whole writing process has been therapeutic and empowering. Without trying to make an album, I’ve made one.”

In addition to this exciting video announcement, the Here’s To Never Growing Up singer also emailed Billboard about the new music. She told them about her songwriting process and pushing herself creatively:

“I challenged myself as a songwriter and I wanted to write about topics I hadn’t hit on before. There’s the love topic, but a lot of these songs are about life. I’ve experienced a lot over the past few years, and some of the songs just came to me. Concepts and lyrics were flowing and I would have to grab my phone to sing into voice memo and write out my lyrics.”

The pop singer also mentioned that her musical influences this time around are a bit closer to her roots. She’s been getting back into the jazz and country she grew up on, not to mention current singer-songwriters like Ed Sheeran.

“I enjoy listening to Ed Sheeran and Shawn Mendes — artists that showcase their vocals and songwriting skills. I listen to a lot of Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra and jazz.

[The new music is] going back to my roots a little bit… I got my start in church and at country fairs when I was a young child, and I think those earlier influences are definitely coming out now.”

The album is not yet ready, and the Rock N Roll singer could not offer a specific timeline for when it will be out. However, she did say where she is in the recording process:

“I’m working on the final few tracks. BMG and I are now choosing the right producer for this project.”

“And what about the first single? It may be a song that Avril wrote “when I was in bed and literally felt like I was dying… in the midst of feeling so close to death, I came up with one of my most true and moving songs.” This year marks the 10 year anniversary of Avril Lavigne’s first – and so far, only – #1 single.”, Hidden Jams Music continued, “Though she’s had many hits over the years, “Girlfriend” is her only single to top the Billboard Hot 100. Avril admits that she’d like to have another single go #1, too. Maybe this album and its singles will connect her with fans in a way she hasn’t in a long time.”

Cool. I’m really excited for Avril Lavigne’s long waited sixth album this year. I bet the sixth album’s lead single will be something different instead of repeating the success of bratty songs like Girlfriend version of Avril Lavigne singles. In 2004, when Avril Lavigne moved to RCA, RCA had no plans to market Arista’s Under My Skin because RCA already had an RCA pop rock diva by the name of Kelly Clarkson. So My Happy Ending was released after Under My Skin’s launch and the single topped the US Pop Songs chart in the wrong date while summer music has moved on from Avril Lavigne causing 2002 to be the peak of her career at this time.

As Breakaway was a hit, Under My Skin sold less than Breakaway in the US by 2005 and Since U Been Gone has more GP plays than My Happy Ending did and Arista only does Avril Lavigne for Let Go and The Matrix in 2002 as Arista didn’t have any faith in Under My Skin while LA Reid and The Matrix moved on from Avril Lavigne in 2003. Then, in 2006, RCA hires Dr. Luke and force Avril Lavigne changed her pop music to bratty songs and make bratty songs Avril Lavigne’s pop music instead of pop rock music in which she is already labeled as.

So on top of that, Avril Lavigne released Girlfriend in 2007 and it was Avril Lavigne’s first US number 1 single to top the Billboard Hot 100 10 years ago. Sadly, fans and RCA hated Girlfriend. So 2007 music lost interest to Girlfriend quickly as the 2007 single was overplayed causing radio listeners to move on to other 2007 music like Rihanna’s Unbrella. So When You’re Gone underperformed and Hot was a massive failure because US 2000s music don’t like Avril Lavigne’s bratty songs like Hot and stick with 2002 Avril Lavigne like Complicated. So in late 2009, Avril Lavigne has decided to go back to making albums that goes by pop rock music from the first 2 albums by the time Avril Lavigne’s bratty songs was quickly pummeled by 2008. So when she worked on her fourth album, Goodbye Lullaby, she was going through a divorce and had written a new album full of softer ballads, acoustic tunes, and somber lyrics. It was the opposite of The Best Damn Thing, and it is similar to the first 2 albums.

But her label wasn’t taking it. Instead, they wanted Avril Lavigne to recreate the success of “Girlfriend.” So after months of fighting and holding out, Avril Lavigne finally was forced back into the studio with hit producers like Max Martin to make more bratty songs like What The Hell and put them in the album before the album was finally completed. Then, in 2011, Goodbye Lullaby was finally released. While much of it was as she had originally envisioned it, the album was offset by bratty songs like What The Hell. It was confused marketing: Bratty songs like Smile are the singles her label suggested that she was still in her bratty phase and hadn’t evolved, yet the album – for those who actually listened – did show maturity and depth. Avril Lavigne didn’t keep her frustrations to herself as she wasn’t happy for recording bratty songs and put them in Goodbye Lullaby and ruined the album’s classification as a acoustic mellow album instead of a bratty songs version of Avril Lavigne album.

So in the end, Goodbye Lullaby was significantly less successful than its predecessors. Fans wanted Avril Lavigne to evolve, but the singles her label forced her to make sounded like she was cashing in on the success of “Girlfriend.” So RCA parted ways with the Let Me Go singer, and she ended up with Epic Records, where she thought she’d have more creative control.

But labels don’t learn their lessons quickly. After working with more rock-oriented songwriters from Evanescence and Nickelback, in mid 2012 Avril Lavigne was ready to put her 5th record out. But there was some stalling, and the label decided they wanted some more bratty songs and put them in her album first. So instead of delaying, she went back to the studio.

In November 2013, Avril Lavigne’s eponymous 5th album was released, and it was even more confusing than Goodbye Lullaby had been. It sounded more like two dissimilar EPs rather than a cohesive album: half bratty songs like Hello Kitty and half songs that was introspective, mature, and showed growth like Give You What You Like. Guess which songs Avril Lavigne originally intended to release.

Ultimately, Avril Lavigne’s 2013 reboot album was even less successful than Goodbye Lullaby. Although she put on a happy face, by the end of it she seemed dissatisfied with how things had gone. By summer 2014 Avril revealed she was writing new music that was “less pop.” The question remains: will her label try to recreate 2007 again, or will they accept that her music isn’t for teens anymore?

Anyway, I’m really looking forward to Avril Lavigne’s long waited upcoming sixth album later this year. It will be the first time since 2007 where Avril Lavigne singles gets to go by US number 1s and pop music playing Avril Lavigne just like 2002 15 years ago. Sounds excited. Heh? 2 years ago, I made an article about Fly being released as the sixth album's lead single, but it was actually a charity only single. So Fly doesn't count. That means, the real sixth album lead single will be her sixth album lead single and it will be something different, not going by bratty songs. This sounds like fun.

What are you thoughts on Avril Lavigne's upcoming sixth album? Sound off below!
