It appears that Iggy Azalea has a new single off the
forthcoming album, Digital Distortion, that will be dropping in a few days. She
recently shared a preview of the track and visual on Instagram.
The new single is called “Switch” and features Brazilian
singer, Anitta. In the behind-the-scenes video clip shared on IG, the fancy
hitmaker and her bikini-rocking dancers are being recorded for a scene in the
video doing a choreographed routine, while the song plays from the speakers.
The track appears to be another club-type jam with an upbeat dance track. “Had
so much fun filming the #Switch music video this week & I can’t wait for
everyone to hear the song May 19th. #SneakPeek,” The rapper captioned the video.
She also revealed the cover art for the single, which shows
the Aussie MC standing in front of a maroon background in a bikini staring
dreamily at the camera.
The Black Widow chart topper is definitely in album mode.
This is the second single she has dropped in the last two months. In March, she
put out the song Mo Bounce, which she quickly followed up with a video. The
cake-clapping visual ended up sparking the Mo Bounce Challenge, with people
uploading videos of themselves twerking to the song.
Cool. I’m really excited for Iggy Azalea‘s Switch in 3 days.
Now let’s move on to Shakira. Shall we?
OK, let’s talk about the Columbian singer’s upcoming
confirmed album, El Dorado out on May 26. A week after Iggy Azalea’s Switch was
launched. So far, rumors have been buzzing about Shakira’s upcoming 11th studio
album, and today she officially made the announcement: Her new album El Dorado
will be out on May 26th! So far Hidden Jams Music heard a few singles from the
album. Chantaje (featuring Maluma) came out last fall, and last month we got to
hear Me Enamore. (Its music video is coming soon, too.) Cool, that’s what I
like to hear. But I rather listen to Shakira’s pop music over her Latin music.
Since Shakira is a crossover Latin singer, not a pop singer. So that was a good
thing. Let’s continue.
Other single collaborations will also appear on the album.
La Bicicleta, which Shakira recorded with Colombian singer Carlos Vives, will
be on the record. We’ll also get Shakira’s romantic duet with Prince Royce,
Deja Vu, as well as her song Comme Moi with French rapper Black M.
Another solo song set to appear on Shakira’s new album is
called When A Woman. She approved a mix of the song in March. Apparently El
Dorado will be a bilingual album.
The confirmed tracklist includes the following 13
recordings:
Me Enamore
Nada
Chantaje (ft. Maluma)
When A Woman
Amarillo
Perro Fiel (ft. Nicky Jam)
Trap (ft. Maluma) [English version of Chantaje]
Comme Moi (ft. Black M)
Coconut Tree
La Bicicleta (ft. Carlos Vives)
Deja Vu (ft. Prince Royce)
What We Said (ft. MAGIC!) [English version of Comme Moi]
Toneladas
El Dorado is the first album we’ve gotten since Shakira in
2014. Shakira promises more “treasures” coming after May 11, too, so stay
tuned. May 26th is only two weeks away, so it won’t be long before we have El
Dorado blasting out our speakers. Plus, Hidden Jams Music also have the Me
Enamoré music video to look forward to.
So what do you think? Are you excited for Iggy Azalea’s
Switch when it came out this Friday? Are you looking forward to hear Shakira’s
El Dorado next Friday? Sound off below!
