As you may know that 2 month ago, Taylor Swift’s Shake It
Off has reached 1 billion views on Vevo. So I’ll give you the link below to see
it.
OK, let’s talk about why Shake It Off is now 10x certified
meaning it has hit the 1 billion view count on Vevo.
This was Taylor Swift’s second music video to reach 1
billion views, the other being Blank Space also off of her smash hit album,
1989.
After, Blank Space is the fastest video to reach 1 billion
views on Vevo, Shake It Off has now reached 1 billion views on Vevo. Awesome,
right? Yeah.
Now that 2 Taylor Swift music videos has reached 1 billion
views on Vevo and YouTube, 1989 music videos like Wildest Dreams (which now
peaked at number 6 at the Hot 100) has now gained more than 3 billion views
combined on Vevo.
That’s right, Taylor Swift’s 1989 is now an iconic pop
album, selling 8 million copies worldwide, made 4 US number 1 singles (all 4
singles Shake It Off-Bad Blood are number 1 on the Pop charts with all the said
songs except Style topped the Hot 100 chart). 1989 also made the currently
hottest tour and 5 iconic music videos like Blank Space.
In addition, 1989 has reached a new milestone! All 5 music
videos have now reached more than 3 billion views on Vevo combined, making 1989
the first album ever to do so.
Congratulations, T-Swizzle. You earned it. Next year, Taylor
Swift will be releasing her first greatest hits album containing every single
Taylor Swift singles (including all non-pop singles like Mean) tying
in to the 10th anniversary of her career that started in 2006. Shake It Off is a great Taylor Swift song. Very funny and the lyrics is anti-haters term. So it's perfect for Taylor Swift's lead single off of 1989. This will make me a Swiftie even further. Plus, she also release 4 awesome 1989 follow ups including Blank Space, Style, Bad Blood and Wildest Dreams. Taylor Swift ftw. Why? Because Taylor Swift is hot. That's why. I hope Taylor Swift will be staying longer because she is a giant pop star for a long time. Let's hope she will be making amazing future pop songs later on.
Anyway, congrats, Tay Tay.
