Is It Me, Or Taylor Swift's Crossover Country Career Has Been Collapsed Since 2012 (A Taylor Swift Ramble)

Hey, Swifties. Just to let you know that 1989 surpass Speak Now and became the third best selling Taylor Swift album in the US behind her first two albums which includes her US best selling album, Fearless.

Also, Style becomes pop radio's most played song as Style became Taylor Swift's seventh number 1 and her third straight pop-chart topper following Shake It Off's footsteps and Blank Space's footsteps.

Whoa whoa, whoa. Wait a minute, another number 1? How many number 1s do we need, Taylor Swift? Second, is it me or Taylor Swift is becoming a generic pop star instead of a pop-country girl who makes different genres like pop? Yup, Taylor Swift's country music is going downhill since 2012 after her first three albums. Find out why Max Martin and Taylor Swift's pop songs like Everything Has Changed is ruining Taylor Swift's crossover country career from 2012-2015.

First of all, I hate Taylor Swift is not country, she is pop appearance version of Taylor Swift-less country music. Second, why Taylor Swift is pop, not country? Why Taylor Swift only appeals pop tastes and country does not play Taylor Swift? Why country music playing Taylor Swift only have Tim McGraw's Highway Don't Care? Why can't general public play Taylor Swift's country songs like Sparks Fly? I hate Taylor Swift making pop music version of new Taylor a Swift songs. Why new Taylor Swift songs has to go by pop these days? She suppose to be mainstream country with a crossover appeal for pop. Her first three albums got it right. But Red dropped her country music's ball in 2012. I mean, Taylor Swift is suppose to evolve in her career as she said from the Grammys website.

"I like to take two years to make an album because I like to give myself time to evolve and change and challenge myself and try new things, I tend to write for the entire two-year process but usually the things I write in the first six to eight months get thrown out. Not because they weren't great songs but because they don't fit my idea of what the new album should be." - Taylor Swift

See, Taylor Swift has to evolve whenever she makes new albums. But unfortunately, America and general public hates evolve and America and general public only wants changes and moneys. I want my evolve back, America and general public. I hate Taylor Swift is a pop star appearance. Bring back Taylor Swift is pop-country appearance, Taylor Swift. Her crossover appeal and pop is fine. But stop playing pop music left and right. You need country songs, Taylor Swift and you ignore them nowadays. Why can't Taylor Swift's country songs like Mean exist? Vevo was lucky since all Taylor Swift's country videos have pop as their genre on Vevo including Tim McGraw's Highway Don't Care. Now let's talk about why her fanbase prefers country over pop.

OK, her fanbase is up next. As you may know that her fanbase is excellent naturally her fans who don't listen to country. That's because Taylor Swift's country songs like Ours is inspired by Taylor Swift's feelings as her country music is different and unique.

Of course, Taylor Swift isn't the only one where her country tunes appeals to everyone, Carrie a Underwood did that too. Duh. But why the fans has to be girls teens and girl kids? Is Taylor Swift's fanbase copying Justin Bieber's fanbase? Taylor Swift is not for girls, it's for everybody. Not girls, everybody.

Of course, biggest thing that is preventing Taylor Swift from having her identity outside of her music like You Belong With Me and Mine is the suits' paranoia over young girls. You know how much I hate their fear of what young girls want to see in Taylor Swift’s career.

Taylor Swift... Girls aren't your target demographic! Girl teens and girl tweens aren't your target demographic!

Who is your target demographic?

EVERYONE.

Play to everyone, families, kids, adults, Swifties... You'll get a big success on your hands, it's not freakin' rocket science! By trying too hard to appeal to girls, you alienate the adults, and of course, boys, who will make your songs like Style more successful than they are. You also come off as sexist, and you also make young boys feel left out. What is this? A girls-only treehouse? This is Taylor Swift, something everyone deserves to experience.

Also, if you treat your hit songs like Teardrops On My Guitar and Back To December as a treehouse for girls that doesn't allow boys, Taylor Swift... Then you're limiting your audience. Boys and adults don't want to go into a girls treehouse, because that's girls' stuff. Is Taylor Swift songs like Fifteen girls' stuff? No. Need I remind the suits about your beloved country songs like Tim McGraw and Picture To Burn??? Good thing those weren't made today, Big Machine Records or Scott Borchetta probably would've done decent business at best.

You need to stop writing songs about boys, Taylor Swift and you need to appeal your country songs to everyone like MTV. That’s why all Taylor Swift songs are pop on Vevo including her country hits like White Horse.

Another thing that baffles me is her annoying pop songs. No, it has nothing to do with 22 or the 1989 era like Shake It Off. 22 alongside Change, The Story Of Us, The Last Time, Shake It Off, Blank Space and Style are fine as pop songs. It has to do with the two pop songs that I absolute cannot stand, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and I Knew You Trouble. I hate We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and I Knew You Trouble. I'm a huge Taylor Swift fan and Taylor Swift's first three albums is amazing. But when We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and I Knew You Trouble came out in 2012, I absolutely hated them. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and I Knew You Trouble is the reason her country music career with a crossover appeal for pop is going down the gutter.

We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and I Knew You Trouble is the reason these two overrated pop songs ruined her fourth album, Red in 2012. That's why I don't trust the Red era in 2012 and 2013 because I want to bash We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and I Knew You Trouble whenever they are on the radio. I want my Red's country songs like Begin Again. Speaking of Begin Again, whereas 22 works fine as a Red pop single, Begin Again works well as a Red country single. Why can't country radio play Begin Again? Begin Again is suppose to work well as a country single for country radio. But no, country radio screwed Begin Again because all country radio playing Taylor Swift songs does is to play that stupid We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together instead of amazing Begin Again. Why Big Machine Records, why? I want my Begin Again, country radio.

Another thing that why Red is a huge mess compare to Taylor Swift's first three albums is that Red's pop songs like Everything Has Changed ruined Red. First of all, why Taylor Swift's pop songs like I Knew You Trouble has to be put on a country album? I hate pop songs version of country albums. Second, why Red has to be a pop album? Red is supposed to be a country album as the album chart at number 1 on Country albums chart. But no, they call that country album, pop ignoring the fact that album is a country album. Red could've done better if it doesn't include pop songs and kept the same way the first 3 albums did. That's why I love 1989. Why? It's the first Taylor Swift album without country songs as she wants to try something new instead of pop music version of country albums. I know 1989 is a pop album. But I'm happy that Taylor Swift finally makes an album without country music even though it's a pop album. Not only that, 1989 is an excellent Taylor Swift album. I am happy that it sold more than 1.2 million copies in the US on its first week and it sold 4 million copies in 12 weeks surpassing Red and Speak Now. I really am, but I'm happy for Taylor Swift more so than the album itself or her pop career since 2008. She needed a non-country hit of this caliber outside of pop music in years like rock, even though her pop songs like Shake It Off and Blank Space were big pop hits on the order of her crossover hits like Love Story. Taylor Swift needs to stop making pop music and tackle new genres when she hits 30 and stop making record breaking hit pop songs. She is not country anymore and she can only do mainstream like pop because country music is not mainstream. Country music are American culture music even though country music are popular music. You can't top pop music with pop music, Taylor Swift and you know that.

Last, but not least, number 1s. First of all, why Style has to be another number 1, Taylor Swift? You can't top number 1s with number 1s. You need non-number 1s, Taylor Swift. You really do. Lets hope her next 1989 single will not be a number 1 hit song.

OK, that's it for my rant/ramble on Taylor Swift's career has been struggled in the future. I hope Taylor Swift will be okay in her soon to be long running music career in the future. I love her and she is very talented. Not only that, she's pretty hot. But she needs to stop writing songs about boys and she needs to write songs about something different like Pokemon. I hope she is going strong and I do. It looks like country radio can't play Taylor Swift's country music anymore. I guess Taylor Swift will have to move her country music to pop radio and have pop radio plays Taylor Swift's country music from now on.

What are your thoughts on why Taylor Swift's country-pop career did not survive well and how Taylor Swift's country music ever gonna be shown in the mainstream pop world if she doesn't make anymore pop-country songs in the future?
