Katy Perry Will Be Performing At The Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show

That’s right, Katy Perry will be performing at the 2015 Super Bowl in 6 days. Can you belive it. Now, here’s what Billboard has to say about this. Take it away, Billboard.

“Katy Perry Performing at Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show
By Colin Stutz  October 09, 2014 9:34 PM EDT

Katy Perry will perform at this year's Super Bowl halftime show, sources have confirmed with Billboard.

Perry's performance has been speculated since August after the National Football League had reportedly shortlisted her along with Coldplay and Rihanna, who saw the use of her song "Run This Town" with Jay-Z axed in a segment during the wake of the Ray Rice scandal.

The news of those three contenders also came with word the league was asking those artists under consideration to pay to play, since last year's broadcast drew a record-setting 111.5 million viewers and previous performers have all seen significant boosts in sales, touring and public profile.

In response, appearing on ESPN's College Game Day this past Saturday, Perry said, "I'm not the kind of girl who would pay to play the Super Bowl."

With previous speculation, Billboard reported a number of good reasons for Perry to play the big stage, including her current hits, her (mostly) family-friendly catalog, and her international popularity (her 58.1 million Twitter followers make her the most popular presence on the social site).

The NFL has declined to comment.”

Sounds like fun. Also, it appears that Lenny Kravitz will be joining Katy Perry’s Super Bowl halftime. Sounds reasonable.

I’m really exciting to see Katy Perry performing her Super Bowl halftime this Sunday which is why Fuse gets to air a Katy Perry Takeover. Smart call, Fuse.

This is gonna be fun. The hot 1984 born millennial chick who has hot breasts and her nice sexy butt gets to have alot of ratings when she performs her Super Bowl halftime. I'm so exciting for Katy Perry's Super Bowl halftime performance.

After performing at the Super Bowl halftime, I want the 30 year old Roar singer to make different experiments of Katy Perry singles rather than making more Max Martin singles. I want Katy Perry to try something new. So hopefully, a new album or a new number 1 singles collection will allow her to make a new 2015 single this year.

It's why Katy Perry is hot. Why? Because she's hot. I mean, look how hot she is. Especially her hot breasts and her hot butt. That's why she's hot.

Anyway, what do you think? Are you exciting to see Katy Perry performing at the Super Bowl halftime show this Sunday? Are you exciting to see Lenny Kravitz joining her at the Super Bowl halftime? Please type in the comments in the comment section below.

Hey guys, I just want you to know that A$AP Yams, whose real name is Steven Rodriguez, died at 26. Hip Hop fans are in mourning over the death of A$AP Yams, one of the founding members of the rap collective A$AP Mob. Now, here’s what this article has to say about the death of A$AP Yams.

Steven Rodriguez, known as A$AP Yams who is known for helping pave the way for artists like A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg, passed away Sunday (Jan 18) at the age of 26.

There was no official immediate word on the cause of Yams’s death.

RCA Records, A$AP Mob’s record company, said in a statement that they were “shocked and saddened” to hear about the sad news.

“As one of the creative forces behind A$AP Worldwide, Yams’ vision, humor and dedication to the members of A$AP Mob will always be remembered,” the statement read, according to Rolling Stone.

It wasn't immediately clear how Yams had died.

"Rocky's like Luke Skywalker, and I'm Yoda," Yams said in an interview with The New York Times in 2013, explaining their respective roles.

Yams was born to a Dominican mother and a Puerto Rican father, according to The New York Times interview. He grew up on the southern edge of Harlem with a lifelong obsession with hip-hop.

"Yams is the hip-hop encyclopedia," Rocky said in the article. "He's no joke. That's one person I can't front on when it comes to music."

According to CNN, the hip-hop world is mourning the death of A$AP Yams, one of the founding members of the Harlem-based collective A$AP Mob.

"Always strive and prosper. RIP Yams," said a post Sunday on the group's official Facebook page with a black-and-white photo of Yams since he died at 26 years old.

"We bugged out on New Years, I didn't know that would be the last time Seeing my brother," A$AP Ferg, one of the stars who emerged from the A$AP collective, wrote in a post on Instagram. "R.i.P bro. We all love and Miss you."

Wow, just talk about the death of  A$AP Yams at the age of 26. I guess America don't seems to care about nice things anymore and America only care about bad stuff. *shudders* Anyway, *started smiling again* I will miss him. He is a great addition to the hip-hop world. Mainstream music will remember how hop-hop is one of the most popular mainstream music genres out there next to pop and EDM. R.I.P, Yams, everybody will miss you. Stupid today's America for ruining good stuff and only wants bad stuff just to make money and never stops. I miss America is good appearance. Today's America/America is bad appearance/new millennium/mid to late 2000s/money/repeats ruined America nowadays. Bring back America is the best place in the world appearance, America.

*sigh* Oh well. Anyway, rest in peace, Steven Rodriguez.

Taylor Swift's 1989 Just Hit 4M Sales In Just 12 Weeks As The Album Hits Ninth Week At Number 1

That's right, Taylor Swift's 1989 has reached 4 million sales in just 12 weeks as 1989 hits its ninth week at number 1. Now, here's that something has to say about 1989 reach number 1 for the ninth week. Shall we? Well then, here we go.

Taylor Swift rules the album charts yet again, in a slow week of sales as the music industry gears up for the Grammy Awards next month.

Ms. Swift’s 1989 (Big Machine) notched a ninth week at No. 1 on Billboard’s album chart, selling 111,000 copies of the full release and about 439,000 downloads of individual tracks, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album has sold just under four million copies since it came out 11 weeks ago, and even though its numbers are cooling down, 1989 remains a far better seller than anything else out there.

But wait, that's not all. 1989 has manage to sell 4 million copies in the US in just 12 weeks. Now, here's what Yahoo has to say about 1989 sold 4 million copies 12 weeks after the launch of the album. Check it out.

According to Yahoo, evidently somebody forgot to tell Taylor Swift fans that albums just don’t sell anymore. Taylor Swift’s fifth studio album, 1989, is on track to top the 4 million mark in U.S. sales in this, its 12th week of release. It’ll be the first album to reach 4M in just 12 weeks since Usher's 2004 blockbuster Confessions.

Swift’s achievement is more impressive than Usher’s because album sales overall were much stronger in 2004 than they are nowadays. Seventy albums sold 1 million or more copies in 2004, compared to just four in 2014. (Sadly, that’s not a typo.)

Each of Swift’s four previous studio albums has also reached 4M.Swift will become just the second artist to top 4M with each of his or her first five studio albums since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking music sales in 1991. The first was Garth Brooks. (Brooks’s first two studio albums were released before the start of the Nielsen SoundScan era, but they have each sold more than 4M copies since the meters were turned on in January 1991.)

1989 sold 3,944,000 copies in the U.S. in its first 11 weeks. It is expected to sell in the 80K range this week, which will bump it up to about 4,024,000.

Swift’s previous studio albums all took much longer to reach 4M in U.S. sales. Her debut album, Taylor Swift, took 125 weeks to reach the plateau. Her sophomore album, Fearless, took 50 weeks. Her third and fourth albums, Speak Now and Red, each took 69 weeks.

So how has Swift been able to defy downward sales trends? It helps that Shake It Off and Blank Space, the first two singles released from her new album, both reached #1 on the Hot 100. (They logged a combined total of 11 weeks in the top spot.)

And Swift is extremely adept at marketing and promotion. She is not only willing to do interviews and media and awards show appearances, she’s good at it and actually seems to enjoy it.

Also, 1989 is Swift’s first focused pop album. Before this, she was trying to appeal to pop and country fans simultaneously. She was succeeding rather well, too, but she felt she could do even better if she would focus on just one field. “But at a certain point, if you chase two rabbits, you lose them both” is the way she put it to Rolling Stone's Josh Eels in a cover story last September.

Swift may have the Grammys in the back of her mind when she made that comment. At the Grammy Awards in January 2013, Red was nominated for Album of the Year, but lost to Daft Punk's Random Access Memories. Red was also nominated for Best Country Album, but lost to Kacey Musgraves's Same Trailer Different Park. Two years earlier, her previous album, Speak Now, wasn’t even nominated for Album of the Year. It lost Best Country Album to Lady Antebellum's Own the Night.

1989 was released too late for the Grammys that will be presented on Feb. 8, but it will be in play next year. It will probably be nominated for both Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. Shake It Off is nominated for Record and Song of the Year this year. It’s Swift’s third Record of the Year nom; her second Song of the Year nom. Swift is expected to perform on the telecast this year, though that hasn’t been announced.

Look for 1989 to slip to #2 on The Billboard 200 that is released on Wednesday. Meghan Trainor's debut album, Title, is expected to open at #1 with first-week sales in the 180K range.

(Note: All sales tallies in this story are actual sales. They’re not based on Billboard's new hybrid formula which also takes into account digital track sales and streaming activity.)

It looks like 1989 tooks the shortest to reach 4 million sales with just 12 weeks. Fearless is now the second shortest gap to reach 4 million sales in 50 weeks. Unfortunately, we got some bad news, Taylor Swift makes pop music and Taylor Swift albums sold alot of copies killed Taylor Swift's country music and Big Machine Records's country music. Ugh. I hate pop music version of Taylor Swift maing new music. Why Taylor Swift making new music still only have pop? I'm sick of Taylor Swift making new music goes by pop. Not only that, country music still still going downhill even with big names and number 1 hits. Why Taylor Swift hates country music and she only makes pop these days? It's not always about pop music. Why Big Machine Records releasing new music only appeal Taylor Swift's pop music? Big Machine Records should've done better if the label sells itself to Universal Music Group (Taylor Swift's distributor) and have UMG own the rights to BMR and all Taylor Swift's records like Fearless and Red. If all Taylor Swift's country music was no longer played on country radio and only played on pop radio, then that would be better. Vevo is lucky since all Taylor Swift's music videos were pop on Vevo. So why won't general public do the same thing? Sorry for some rambling. I don't want any complaints unless I can make a Taylor Swift ramble article later on. Anyway, next up, Style music video and hopefully Taylor Swift performing Style at the 2015 Grammys. I hope Taylor Swift is going strong. She has to tackle new genres and slow down her pop career just to play her career safe.

So what do you think? Are you happy that 1989 hits the ninth week at number 1? Do you think 1989 has reached 4 million copies in the US in just 12 weeks? If you do, then please type the comments in the comments section below.

Taylor's Swift's Style Will Be Her Next Single?

That's right, Taylor Swift's next song that will be played on pop radio is called Style. In fact, I heard that one when I got myself a copy of 1989 2 months ago. Oh boy I love this song. Why? Because Style is actually more adult like than her previous 2 singles, Shake It Off and Blank Space. They're both number 1 comedy singles at the Hot 100 Billboard chart. You won't find any comedy on Style. So why you ask? I'll tell you why Style should be a 1989 single this year.

Now, as you may know that Taylor Swift’s Style goes top 40 at pop, selling 56K more copies and Style is already one of pop radio's forty most-played songs.

Now, according to Headline Planet, this past fall, Taylor Swift’s Blank Space managed to reach the official top forty at pop radio ahead of its official radio impact date.

This Sunday evening, Style will achieve that milestone prior to even being declared Swift’s next official single.

According to Mediabase, Style was pop’s 40th-most-played song during the seven days between January 3 and January 9. It commanded 781 spins within that window.

Insofar as it is gaining airplay at a rapid rate, it will face no difficulty retaining its top forty position through the Sunday issuance of Mediabase’s official airplay chart. It will thus become the third top 40 pop hit from Swift’s 1989 album even before being formally declared the project’s next single.

Obviously, such a declaration is a mere formality at this point — Swift provided Style with high-profile exposure during the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, her label boss Scott Borchetta teased that he is “leaning towards Style” as the next single and a whopping fourteen monitored Mediabase pop stations added the song this week — but the song still deserves immense credit for so quickly gaining steam.

An even more impressive performer from an audience standpoint, the song’s weekly audience impression count of 6.55 million ranks as the format’s 35th-greatest.

In addition to making gains at radio, Style was also one of only a few songs to enjoy a digital sales boost during the first tracking week of 2015 (since interested in many singles was inflated during Christmas week, they inevitably posted weaker numbers during the week ending January 4). Style moved 56,000 copies last week after moving 50,000 during Christmas week.

Style also rises to #71 on the weekly Billboard Hot 100. While not yet back to its #60 peak, it is obviously on the move.

Prospects look bright for Taylor Swift's Style. The song, which is expected to be the third single from Taylor Swift's 1989, is already a top 50 pop hit as Style is already one of pop's most-played.

While all signs–including a Tweet from her label boss Scott Borchetta–indicate “Style” will be Taylor Swift’s next single, it has not yet been formally confirmed as such. It certainly has not yet been formally pushed to radio.

Key pop stations are not waiting, however. The song, which was performed during the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and currently maintains a top thirty position on the iTunes single sales chart, is now pop’s 50th-most-played song.

According to Mediabase, the song commanded 325 plays during the week between December 30 and January 5. That marks a week-over-week increase of 175 plays.

Thanks to its support from major market stations (including Chicago’s B96 and San Francisco’s 99-7 NOW), Style ranks even more favorably from an audience standpoint. Its weekly impression count of 3.041 million is the pop format’s 40th-largest.

Other heavy early supporters include Spokane’s Now 105.7, Detroit’s 98.7 AMP, Boise’s 103.5 KISS, Long Island’s 106.1 BLI and Tampa’s Hot 101.5.

But wait, that's not all Style was new to the pop radio top 40 this week because Style is officially top 40 at pop.

Does this mean Style will be 1989's third single and Style will have a music video this February? If true, then maybe Taylor Swift will be performing Style at the 2015 Grammys. I hope so because Taylor Swift needs more music videos this year and Style along with Out Of The Woods deserves to have a music video this year. If Style will have a music video, then how about a different director directing a music video for Style. Something cheap or something like a country music video director will direct Style's music video. So how about Trey Fanjoy. Yeah. That could work. Anyway, let's continue.

Labeled “recurrent” by Mediabase, Taylor Swift’s lead 1989 single Shake it Off has officially been removed from the pop radio airplay chart.

Swift, however, still claims two positions within the chart’s top forty. In addition to holding the #1 position courtesy Blank Space, Swift also registers at #38 with Style.

Not even yet confirmed as an official single, Style rises thirteen places to officially claim its top 40 position. Per Mediabase, it received 932 spins during the January 4-10 tracking week.

(The aforementioned Blank Space retains its #1 spot on the strength of 17,627 weekly spins)

OK, that's it for this article. Let's hope all Taylor Swift singles should be played on pop radio including her non-pop singles like Mean and Red. So how about a 10th anniversary Taylor Swift single collection. That would be nice so that way every Taylor Swift single, pop or not, will be in her first greatest hits album and 2016 is right around the corner. Let's hope all her non-pop singles will be joining her pop music just in time for the 10th anniversary for Taylor Swift's career that began in 2006.

So what do you think? What do you think about Style considered to be Taylor Swift's third single? Do you think Style will have a music video this spring? Do you think the director for Style's music video will be Trey Fanjoy? Let me know in the comments below!

Kelly Clarkson Previews 'Heartbeat Song'

You said it, Kelly Clarkson will be previewing the first 2015 single, Heartbeat Song. Anyway, Heartbeat will be Kelly Clarkson's 2015 single which is coming on January. Now, here's what Kelly Clarkson has to say about Heartbeat from her Twitter's tweet.

It's here...the first official #HeartbeatSong teaser! Share on http://t.co/VQIYiQYKaZ - Team KC https://t.co/R5twtw8arm
— Kelly Clarkson (@kelly_clarkson) January 9, 2015

Looks pretty good, Kelly. Anyway, here's the picture of the teaser for Heartbeat Song below.

It appears that Kelly Clarkson gave birth to her new daughter last year. Her name is River Rose. The 32 year old Grammy-winning singer offered her fans a peek at her latest project with a little help from her 6 month old daughter, River.

So Kelly Clarkson enlisted her 6 month old baby girl to tease the upcoming release of her new single, Heartbeat Song. Looks like we're all exciting to see her new song coming from RCA (Boo!) and this will be her another US number 1 single if this one if her 2015 number 1 single.

The American Idol winner from 2002 tweeted on Firday, Jan. 9, "It's here...the first official #HeartbeatSong teaser!" sharing a video of RIver to introduce the track. The clip shows the infant in a music studio with a large pair of headphones over her pink-and-white polka dot hat.

Sitting in an office chair, River kicks her feet, grooves to the music, and smiles, as River's mom asks, "River, what are you listening to?"

Then she takes the headphones off of her daughter's head and plays the chorus of "Heartbeat Song" as River continues to dance.

The "Stronger" singer welcomed her first child with husband Brandon Blackstock this past June. The new parents tied the knot in October 2013, after the talent manager popped the question in December 2012.

Before starting her family, Clarkson released her last studio album, the holiday record Wrapped in Red, in October 2013. She debuted Stronger, her most recent collection of new music, in October 2011 along with 2012's Catch My Breath and People Like Us from her 2012 Greatest Hits album. In 2013, she also released her country single, Tie It Up from country radio. The music video is also on CMT and GAC along with MTV Hits under Gone Country.

She will be expecting to release a pop album with influences of "rock, country, R&B, and dance," in the coming months. Take a look at the "Heartbeat Song" teaser in the screenshot above!

OK, I'm really looking forward to hear Kelly Clarkson's Heartbeat Song when it came out on Monday. I hope this music video will have alot of views on Vevo because Kelly Clarkson music videos were lazy to gain many views on Vevo and the only way is Because Of You and Stronger.

So what do you think about the clip of the teaser showing the River Rose in a music studio with a large pair of headphones over her pink-and-white polka dot hat sitting in an office chair, River kicks her feet, grooves to the music? Sound off in the comments section below!

Kelly Clarkson Shares New Clues About Upcoming Single And Album!

That's right, Kelly Clarkson is ready to release her 2015 single now that she now has a baby and become a mom. Now, here's what Hidden Jams has to say about the article called Kelly Clarkson Shares New Clues About Upcoming Single And Album!

When it rains it pours, and Kelly Clarkson just shared a lot of new details about her new single and album! She took to Twitter in the wee hours to set the record straight and to answer some of her fans’ pressing questions.

Perhaps the biggest and most important news came from her last tweet, in which she gave fans some mysterious hints about her upcoming single:

2 clues for the first single ….Proof of life & Dr. Dre #TheNextEpisode
    — Kelly Clarkson (@kelly_clarkson) January 3, 2015

This may seem puzzling to most people, but some clever fans have figured it out already. We’re 99% sure that the answer to this puzzle clue is “Heartbeat Song.” If hearts are the proof of life, and Beats by Dre is what Kelly means, this song fits perfectly.

Way back in spring 2014, “Heartbeat Song” was registered on ASCAP. Kelly co-wrote it along with Kara DioGuardi, Audra Mae, and Jason Evigan. It’s great to know the lead single was written by Kelly!

And that’s not all. Kelly mentioned a few months ago that the single will be coming out in January. This plan has not changed, so be ready for a new single within the next few weeks.

    @KCAustralia yes :)
    — Kelly Clarkson (@kelly_clarkson) January 3, 2015

Now to address those pesky rumors: The first single is NOT going to be a duet. The first single will be just Kelly, and we will have to wait a little longer to hear the duet.

    @CuriousCat_ no
    — Kelly Clarkson (@kelly_clarkson) January 3, 2015

And more on the duet: This male artist is someone that Kelly has sang with before. Who could it be? Kelly has sang with John Legend, Adam Levine, Robin Thicke, Chris Daughtry, and at least a dozen country singers. We’re hoping the duet is not with a country artist. Not that we dislike country, but nearly all of Kelly’s duets so far have been in that genre.  We’re ready for a proper pop duet this time around. Out of the guys Kelly has sang with before, we’re putting our money on either John Legend or Adam Levine. We could be wrong, but that’s our guess for now.

Oh and people also keep asking about the duet on the record. Here's a hint ....this wasn't our first time to sing together :)
    — Kelly Clarkson (@kelly_clarkson) January 3, 2015

Note: It is a bit disappointing that the duet partner won’t be Bruno Mars as rumored. Hopefully it can happen in the future.

While we’re on the topic of genres, it looks like the two separate pop and country albums plan is out. Although Kelly promises this record will be pop, it has plenty of influence from other genres.

People keep asking. My next album is pop. But I am always influenced by music I love, which is pop-rock/country/r&b/dance #whoknowswhatsnext
    — Kelly Clarkson (@kelly_clarkson) January 3, 2015

As previously reported, Kelly might have worked with Sia on her new record:

    @KCAustralia maybe
    — Kelly Clarkson (@kelly_clarkson) January 3, 2015

“Maybe” probably either means “Yes, but it’s a surprise so I’m not telling you yet” or “Yes, but we have to confirm the track list, and I don’t want to promise something that isn’t actually going to happen.” Consider us ready for Kelly’s own “Chandelier.”

@Finnishgirl84 soon :) but really can't wait for y'all to hear the entire album! It's so great! It's gonna be a fun record to tour with!
    — Kelly Clarkson (@kelly_clarkson) January 3, 2015

That’s so much exciting news! We’re excited to hear Kelly’s new, non-duet single this month. “Heartbeat Song” sounds like a great first single for the new album! The duet will remain under wraps a little longer, but hopefully we’ll have a lot more information on the album in the coming weeks. Kelly’s album is due out this spring, so we’re not too far off now. You can catch up on everything we know about the album, and be sure to check out a list of known song titles.

This is just the beginning, so keep checking back here for all the latest Kelly Clarkson music news.

But wait, that's not all, Hidden Jams also makes an article called  New Kelly Clarkson Songs Registered. So let's check it out, shall we?

New Kelly Clarkson Songs Registered

Last month, a few new Kelly Clarkson song titles popped up on BMI. Although it’s possible one of these may appear on her upcoming 6th studio album, due out this spring, nothing is confirmed yet.

“I Love You For Trying” is the most promising of the two songs here. The songwriters are best known for composing country songs. Dave Berg has worked with country stars like Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, and Blake Shelton, but has also worked in other genres as well. Marty Dodson is also mainly a country writer, and has worked with Carrie Underwood, George Straight, and Rascal Flatts, as well as the pop rock band Plain White T’s.  Christina Bell, on the other hand, is more of a pop writer based in Nashville. If this song is for Kelly, it will likely have more of a country sound.

“In Love Alone” is unlikely to be on Kelly’s new album. It was already released by the Dave Harris Project featuring Michael Willet in May 2013. If anything, Kelly probably only recorded a demo of the song.

Neither of these songs was written by Kelly, but of the two, “I Love You For Trying” looks like the more promising track and is more likely to appear on her upcoming album.

Kelly’s lead single is coming out this month, and more news about her album will be announced in the coming weeks. You can check out our full recap of everything we know about Kelly’s new album so far, and also look over our list of known song titles that could appear on the record. Keep checking back here for more of the latest Kelly Clarkson music news.

OK, that's it for this article. What you you think? Are you exciting for more Kelly Clarkson in 2015? Do you think her 2015 lead single might going to be her number 1 2015 single? What are your thoughts on Kelly Clarkson's upcoming 2015 album? Sound off below!

OK, these are the Gammy nominations. So I do gotta admit that Taylor Swift has 3 new Grammy nominees, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance. All of them are nominated for 1 song, Shake It Off. Now, if any of these nominees were won by Taylor Swift whether it's Record of the Year, Song of the Year and/or Best Pop Solo Performance, then that would be great. Now aside from that, Katy Perry will have her lucky day.

Katy Perry has 2 nominees for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (Dark Horse featuring Juicy J), Best Pop Vocal Album (Prism). So if Katy Perry wins Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and/or Best Pop Vocal Album, that would be great. Katy Perry needs to win a Grammy. Even Britney Spears wins a Grammy 10 years ago back in 2005 for 2003's Toxic.

But what, that's not all, Beyonce has more nominations than Dolly Parton now with the 2015 Grammys kicked in. Good luck, Beyonce.

So what do you think? Do you want Taylor Swift to win more Grammys for Shake It Off? Will Katy perry ever gonna win her first Grammy? Can Beyonce shine during her 10+ year run since early 2000s now that she will win more Grammys this year? Sound off below!
