A New Album By Evanescence To Be Released Called Synthesis

On May 10, Evanescence announced a new album called Synthesis. So far, after months of teasing a new special project, Evanescence has finally announced their new album and tour. This fall, the band will release Synthesis. It will be out on November 10, the day before Taylor Swift will be releasing her new album on November 11 called Reputation.

Now then, let’s see what Amy Lee has to say about this:

“I want to take this moment to officially announce, and briefly explain, the new Evanescence project, Synthesis. We’re calling it that because it is a synthesis – the combination, the contrast, the synergy between the organic and the synthetic, and also the past and the present.

This album is about orchestra and electronica. We’re taking our music, taking out the big distorted guitars, stripping out the rock drums, and replacing it with full orchestration and a completely synthetic world of beats and sounds. We’ve gone through our entire catalog of music and picked out the songs that are made to be heard this way. And we’re sewing them together, from the ground up. This isn’t a remix. We’re not pulling things out and putting it out. We’re starting from the ground up, at different tempos, with different parts, intros and outros and segues. And new pieces. And putting this all together like one big piece of music. Like one big classical piece, or sort of like a soundtrack, actually. In a lot of ways it sounds like the soundtrack of my life.

In addition to all the Evanescence songs that you already know, there are also going to be two completely new and original compositions as well.

We’re collaborating on this with the legendary David Campbell, who arranged the strings for all three of our albums. This time he’s coming to the table with way more. Full orchestra, meaning woodwinds and brass and strings and harp, and just the whole thing. It’s just really awesome.”

Thanks, Amy Lee. But that’s not all.

On August 13, Evanescence is back in the studio finishing Synthesis. The upcoming album, out this Friday, will reimagine known and loved Evanescence songs with a new orchestral, electronic twist. In addition to an album’s worth of rerecorded older songs, Synthesis will also include two new songs. As Hidden Jams noticed:

“In May, the band members shared plenty of photos and videos from the recording process. We got to hear some of the orchestra, helmed by master composer David Campbell. We also noticed two Evanescence songs: “Lost In Paradise” and “Never Go Back.” The band then toured Europe through June and into July.

Now, after that short break for tour and family time, Evanescence is back in the studio again, finishing up Synthesis. Amy Lee has been recording vocals, usually one of the last components in recording an album, and the band has even done the album’s photoshoot!”

Synthesis will be the band’s first album in six years. Their next album of all-original material should come out in 2018. Evanescence’s last full album, 2011’s Evanescence, produced singles like What You Want and My Heart Is Broken. On Setember 15, Evanescence will be releasing their 2017 single called Imperfection. It’s one of two original songs on the band’s upcoming album Synthesis, out November 10. But as frontwoman Amy Lee sings, she wants to lift you up and erase your pain. You’re irreplaceable. So on October 19, the song gets a music video that brings the lyrics to life on Vevo. The same time, Selena Gomez and Marshmello uploaded Wolves. I already talked about it on the earlier article.

The Imperfection video starts with Amy Lee sitting at a bus stop in the rain. The camera flashes to a young girl crying as a body is moved from her home to an ambulance, fully covered in white. The two minute piano intro ends here as Imperfection officially begins. The young girl wanders through a surreal world of blooming colors and constellations of shapes. Amy Lee sings fiercely, disappearing and reappearing like a mirage, while the Evanescence band members float in the background. Wow, what an awesome music video. But that’s not all, Amy Lee is smoking hot. I can’t wait for more Evanescence this holiday season.

Plus, I was expecting to see Amy Lee collaborating with female pop artists like Ariana Grande or Demi Lovato as a rock single. That way, pop singers like Selena Gomez might collaborating with Amy Lee and bring rock music to the streaming realm. Since streaming is the future, rock music should be huge in the streaming. Forget capitalism and radio. We want real mainstream music to be heard everywhere even if they’re not mainstream enough. They need to push the limits and go by a bigger diversity including rock and metal music.

What do you think of the upcoming album Synthesis and the lead single, Imperfection? Sound off below!

Selena Gomez Teams Up With Marshello With Wolves

You said it folks, Selena Gomez is teaming up with DJ Marshmello with her latest single, Wolves. So here it is.

So far, it was released on October 25, 2017 through Interscope Records. It is an EDM song and it premiered via radio show Beats 1 where hoster Zane Lowe named it the release day’s “World Record”. Now then, here’s what Wikipedia has to say about Selena Gomez’s Wolves with Marshmello.

“Release and promotion

Marshmello first revealed the collaboration on July 22, 2017, when he tweeted: "Happy birthday Selena Gomez! Can't wait for the world to hear what we've been working on."On August 15, 2017, Marshmello wrote that Gomez "sounds absolutely incredible" on the song, when replying to a fan who asked him to talk about the collaboration. During a radio interview with Tonya and Sonic on San Diego's Energy 103.7 FM, Gomez spoke of the collaboration: "It's really cool. It's kind of in that world, his world, and I'm stepping into it and bringing my style too." She called it a beautiful song as well as one of her favorites. On September 25, 2017, a follower of Gomez reached out to Marshemello via Twitter for a "tip" about the song, to which Marshmello replied: "Coming very very soon," leading to speculation on the song's release. On October 6, 2017, alongside the announcement of his single "You & Me" and collaborations with Migos, TM88 and Southside, he reassured fans that the song is "coming very soon". On October 19, 2017, both Gomez and Marshmello took to social media to officially announce their collaboration and its release date. Gomez shared pictures of her wearing a pink version of Marshmello's helmet while they sit on the ground and the two sitting on a couch eating popcorn. It was premiered via radio show Beats 1 where hoster Zane Lowe named it the release day's "World Record".

Composition

The song, written by Gomez and Marshmello along Ali Tamposi, Louis Bell, Brian Lee, Carl Rosen and the song's producers Marshmello and Andrew Watt has been described as a "sticky electronic snack" and "propulsive EDM" which is equally "acoustic-laced EDM and long, lost 80's pop". "Wolves" opens "dark and gloomy" with Gomez singing over a clean electric guitar as Kat Bein from Billboard commented, the build of the bridge is "almost country-pop, but the choral hook is all Marshmello sweetness." In an interview with Zane Lowe for Beats 1, Gomez stated that the lyrics deeply reflects what she was feeling the period she recorded the track.”

Thanks, Wikipedia. On YouTube, there are 2 music videos for Wolves. First of all, the Visualizer version of Wolves music video debuted on October 25 on Vevo while the Vertical Video version of the video came out on November 2. So I was expected to see the real music video coming later this month. I’m so excited for the single’s official music video since I loved Selena Gomez’s music videos. So I’m looking forwards to see this one. Plus, Wolves debut on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (dated Nov. 11) at No. 7. So hopefully, this song will reach number 1 on the Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart soon.

Rita Ora To Be Hosted In The 2017 MTV EMAs - Plus, Eminem To Release A Comeback Album At The EMAs

Happy November, everyone.

It’s that time again. With the 2017 American Music Awards coming on November 19 and the 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards coming November 12, November will be the month of music awards. So far, the 2017 MTV EMAs confirms that Rita Ora will be the host at the 2017 MTV EMAs. Now then, here’s what MTV EMA has to say about this in its Twitter account.

We’re so excited to announce our 2017 #MTVEMA host, THE AMAZING @RitaOra #LondonIsOpen pic.twitter.com/8LPShbLvbJ
— MTV EMA (@mtvema) September 28, 2017

Thanks, EMA’s Twitter. But that’s not all, Eminem will be taking to the stage in Wembley next weekend to debut his new music. So that means, Eminem is launching a comeback record at the 2017 MTV EMAs with massive performance. I bet his new music will be something different. I would say a strong storytelling single since he's done with Slim Shady singles since 2009 and he was lucky enough to make more serious hip-hop music since 2010. Will his new music succeed? Stay tuned and find out.

I can’t wait to see the 45-year-old rapper performing at the 2017 MTV EMAs alongside the hot British chick hosting in the same ceremony this Sunday. This is gonna be fun. Rita Ora is gonna be hot as the EMAs host.
