Snoop Dogg To Executive Produce A New MTV Series

S, N, double O, P, D, O, double G, Snoop Dogg!

Hey guys, just to let you know that Snoop Dogg will be making a new show called Mary And Jane. It appears that Mary And Jane will be a new show on MTV. Guess what? Snoop Dogg will be the executive producer and performed the theme song for the new MTV series.

Now then, just to let you know that Snoop Dogg is headed to television and the rapper will be executive producing Mary And Jane which will premiere on Labor Day night. Pretty intresting, Snoop Dogg. Also, it appears that Mary And Jane will premiere on MTV September 5 at 10pm. Which means, Mary And Jane will premiere on MTV 8 days after The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards aired live and the VMAs is only 2 days away. Anyway, just to let you know that I'm not fond of MTV's current scheduling. Why? All MTV does these days is reailty shows and movies and the only MTV playing music videos is mornings and a new music video premieres on Friday nights at 7:55pm. That's all MTV does these days. Good thing MTV Hits, MTV Live and a new MTV Classic will cover the problem. OK, let's continue.

According to Billboard, "The rapper -- and weed aficionado -- will make an appearance in MTV's upcoming pot comedy Mary + Jane. The news was revealed by the show's executive producers Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont at a panel for the series at the Television Critics Association press tour on Sunday morning (July 31)." That means the article came out almost a month ago.

"The pair acknowledged that Snoop doesn't play himself but instead "a very, very special person" in the half-hour that sees stars Jessica Rothe and Scout Durwood play two twenty-something best friends who run an all-female marijuana delivery service in Los Angeles. Kaplan added: "You don't know when he's going to appear. You have to watch all the way to an end to see him."", Billboard replied. "In addition to guesting on the show, it was also announced that Snoop had joined the series as a executive producer (other EPs include Entertainment 360's Guymon Casady, Marcus Blakely and Jill McElroy), in addition to performing the theme song for the comedy. The exec producers promised other celebrity cameos throughout the season. Among them: Seth Green, Leonard Roberts, Andy Daly and Missi Pyle." Cool. It looks like Snoop Dogg gets to appear as a special guest on Mary And Jane. Let's continue.

"And the show's creative team is hoping for even more cameos, should MTV order a second season. "We're hoping that going forward, people who are weed-friendly and comedy-friendly will see the show, get excited about it and just want to come out and play," said Kaplan.", Billboard continued, "Mary + Jane premieres Sept. 5 at 10 p.m. on MTV."

OK, that sounds like something MTV will get to rely on. Last year, Snoop Dogg appears on The Ride with other artists like Jessie J and Demi Lovato and now, he will be doing a new MTV show which was Mary And Jane where not only he will be the executive producer, but he will perform the show's theme song. Bring on, Snoop Dogg.

What do you think of this statement? What are your thoughts on Snoop Dogg being the executive producer of the upcoming MTV series? Sound off!

Rihanna To Recieve Micheal Jackson Video Vanguard Award At 2016 MTV Video Music Awards

With the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards in only 6 days away, it appears that Rihanna will be on hand to receive the Micheal Jackson Video Vanguard Award, honoring her decade-long impact on music, pop culture, fashion, film and philanthropy. The tribute will be followed by a performance of her own. Speaking of which...

Remember Micheal Jackson?

That's right, Micheal Jackson is the King Of Pop. His 1982 album, Thriller, is the best selling album of all time and he spawn alot of Top 40 hits like Thriller, Billie Jean, Beat It, Can't Stop Till You Get Enough, Smooth Criminal, Bad, and Black Or White. Too bad he was killed at the age of 50, 7 years ago back in 2009. Anyway, back to Bad Gal Rih. Shall we?

OK, here's my thought. I'm really excited to see Rihanna recieving the Micheal Jackson Video Vanguard Award. First, Britney Spears performing her 2016 single, Make Me (Oooh), then Katy Perry performs Rise, and now Rihanna recieves Micheal Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2016 VMAs? This is gonna be awesome. I'm in becaise I love Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Rihanna and I'm glad they're gonna be at the 2016 MTV VMAs. Unlike the awful 2015 VMAs with Miley Cyrus as the host. I hate Miley Cyrus's stupid Dooo It! VMAs performance. Curse you, Miley Cyrus. Now then, here's what Billboard has to say about this. Take it, Billboard.

Billboard: Rihanna to Receive Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at 2016 MTV Video Music Awards

Joining the ranks of Beyonce and Kanye West, Rihanna will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award when the moon men are handed out at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 28.

"Honored to take the #VMAs stage as your video #VANGUARD award recipient LIVE from NYC on August 28!," she tweeted following the big announcement.

Rihanna's 11 Best Videos: From 'Umbrella' to 'BBHMM'

The pop phenom has been known to shock and awe in her visuals, from the crime drama that played out in her 2015 short film for "Bitch Better Have My Money" to the bad romance in her fiery clip for 2011's Calvin Harris collaboration "We Found Love." Whether she's keeping it sexy or turning all the way up, her YouTube page has raked in over 9.6 billion views.

Riri has also bagged four VMA nods: Best Female Video for the Drake-assisted "Work," Best Male Video for her contributions to Calvin Harris' "This Is What You Came For" and two in the Best Collaboration category for the aforementioned hits.

The awards ceremony will be headed to New York's iconic venue Madison Square Garden for the first time in VMA history. The VMAs air live on Sunday, Aug. 28 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

With Beyonce and Adele lead nominees for 2016 MTV Video Music Awards alongside Calvin Harris and Ariana Grande, this is gonna be a fantastic VMAs.

Britney Performs Make Me At The 2016 VMAs

OK, this is it. It's official...

Britney Spears will be performing Make Me (Oooh) at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. I mean, how awesome Britney Spears will perform at the VMAs? Simple, have the Work Bitch singer equpped with her headset and perform that song at the VMAs as the 2016 MTV VMAs is only 8 days away. Well then, think about it.

On August 28, the 34 year old will stage her first VMAs performance since 2007. She'll be joined by rising rap star G-Eazy for a live performance of their new single, Make Me (Oooh). With this performance 2 days after Glory came out on August 26, then this song will reach number 1 at the Billboard Hot 100 and Glory will debut at number 1 at the Billboard 200 chart selling I would say around 200k during its first week. This sounds like fun. Don't you think? Let's continue.

The broadcast will give fans their first chance to watch the pop star perform songs from her upcoming studio album, Glory, due out on August 26. But that's not all, the pop veteran announced the appearance across her social media platforms with a video directed by experimental filmmaker Radical Friend. She will narrated the moody clip, which pans through a dressing room packed with remnants of past VMA visits. In a fitting nod to her iconic 2001 performance of I'm A Slave 4 U, a python slithers across the floor.

"The VMAs don;t just give you a stage. They give you a story, some way of taking a fraction of a second and making it live forever," she says on the video. "Before you know it, it's history."

The 2016 VMAs will air live live from New York's Madison Square Garden on Sunday, August 28 at 9pm ET/PT.

Wow, I'm so excited to see Britney Spears performing Make Me (Oooh) next Sunday. Let's hope this will be a great performance and maybe someday, Make Me (Oooh) will be ahuge hit this fall. Sounds exciting!

What do you think? Are you exciting to see the Stronger hitmaker performing her 2016 single at the VMAs? Sound off below!

Oops… The Video Did It Again; Britney Spears Fans Launched Petition For Original Make Me Video

Oops… Make Me (Oooh)’s music video did it again. Now then it appears that Britney Spears’s Make Me (Oooh) music video has launched on Vevo and YouTube on August 5 and fans hated it. Heck I really didn’t like it. That video is very unoriginal where the stupid behind the scenes footages ruined the latest Britney Spears music video. I really do like that Britney really looks like a pop star version of Carrie Underwood. Heck, both Britney Spears and Carrie Underwood share the same voice except that the latter talks in an Oklahoman accent. Well then, here’s what happens…

On August 7, that was 8 days ago Britney Spears's fans has decided to launch a petition for original Make Me (Oooh) video to be released. Now this is a good compromise. Now then, here’s what NME has to say about this article. Take it away, NME.

NME: “Britney Spears' fans launch petition for original 'Make Me...' video to be released

The video was reportedly scrapped for being "too sexy"

Britney Spears' fans have launched a petition to get the original version of the 'Make Me...' video released.

Initially, the pop star hired David LaChapelle to direct the clip, but later remade it with Randee St. Nicholas.

According to TMZ it was scrapped for being "too sexy", however Spears' team deny this. Instead, they say "it was utterly disjointed... pointless with no storyline."

Now, fans are demanding the original be released via a Change.org petition, as Stereogum reports. Nearly 10,000 fans have signed it at the time of writing.

"Since the music video for Britney Spears' lead single, 'Make Me…', to her new album Glory has been released, we Britney fans find that the music video is not a suitable representation of the song and we are calling for the original video to be released," reads the petition.

"(Yes, we know there was a video shot by David LaChapelle before this one, parts of it have already leaked). We ask that RCA Records/Sony Music Entertainment release the original video that was filmed by David LaChapelle for the song."

Earlier this week, Spears announced her ninth album 'Glory'. The record will be released on August 26.”

Thanks, NME. It was smart enough that while Spear Leaders rejoiced after the pop diva dropped the music video, others petitioned RCA Records and Sony Music Entertainment to release “the original music video” to the public. Well then, here’s what Billboard has to say about this.

Billboard: “Britney Spears Fans Launch Petition for Release of Second 'Make Me' Video

Britney Spears fans are eager to see the first version of her new “Make Me” video, which was reportedly scrapped for being overly sexual.

Britney Spears Gets a Private Show From a Parade of Hot Guys in 'Make Me' Video: Watch

TMZ reports that photographer/director David LaChapelle created the original “Make Me” video, but that it was rejected for being too sexy. Spears’ team reportedly says the video was turned down because it had no story line. “Make Me” was ultimately remade by Randee St. Nicholas and released Friday (Aug. 5). Watch below.

Britney Spears' 'Glory': Our Wish List for Her Ninth Studio Album

When Spears fans caught wind of their being a possible second version, they launched a petition on Change.org, demanding that it be released.

“We ask that RCA Records/Sony Music Entertainment release the original video that was filmed by David Lachapelle for the song,” reads the letter, which had more than 10,000 signatures at press time.”

Thanks Billboard. I hope another Make Me (Oooh) music video will be released soon so Make Me (Oooh) will become a smash hit at the Billboard charts.

What do you think? What are your thoughts on fans petitioning the second music video that should be the original video? Sound off!

It's Glory, Britney

OK, this is it.

On August 26, Britney Spears is releasing her ninth studio album, Glory, featuring the single, Make Me (Oooh) and another single called Private Show. This album is gonna be awesome. This will be much better than that messy Britney Jean. Yuck, I hate Britney Jean. Anyway…

Here’s what the pop princess veteran has to say about this kick-butt album.

britneyspears: #Glory. My new album & the beginning of a new era. Available 8/26. Pre-order tonight at midnight ET on @applemusic and get #PrivateShow instantly.

But wait, that’s not all.

Here’s the list of tracks for Glory:
1. Invitation
2. Make Me (Oooh) (featuring G-Eazy)
3. Private Show
4. Just Luv Me (featuring Cashmere Cat)
5. Walk Of Fame (featuring Ty Dolla Sign)
6. Clumsy
7. Liar
8. Trick Or Treat (featuring Missy Elliott)
9. Take Control
10. Glory
11. Accelerate
12. Man On The Moon

Wow, it looks like there will be an album titled track like the first 2 albums and Circus did. Plus, Trick Of Treat sounds like a good single for the Halloween season since this will be Britney Spears’s Halloween single. Plus, more sexy pop songs in which the late 90s pop veteran has for the last 18 years since 1998. Times do fly fast though. So it looks like sexy music will be her once again pop music since the only sexy pop song off of Britney Jean is Work Bitch and thankfully, it’s the only good Britney Jean song and it does represent the flop album. Boo! Britney Jean’s personal music like Perfume stinks.

Anyway, during an interview with OnAir With Ryan Seacrest, Britney Spears says Glory album is different, will have some hip-hop. So no more repeat the success of radio pop music like Max Martin as she moved on from Max Martin. That’s awesome. I hope this album will be a success and it better debut at number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 200.

So here are my predictions:
Have the album debut at number 1 on its launch on August 26 selling roughly about 200k copies during its first week.
Have Halloween released as a seasonal single for October just in time for Halloween.
By spring 2017, the album will sell I would say more than 2 million copies in the US.

One more thing, Britney Spears will perform Make Me (Oooh) at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. Plus, she will also perform that single in the 2016 IHeartRadio Festival too. Let’s hope fall 2016 will be an awesome 2016 for Britney Spears since Taylor Swift is taking a break from studio albums. So Britney Spears will be taking Taylor Swift’s place this year. Make it happen, RCA. Promote the hell out of Britney Spears promo like Glory.

Rise Up, KP - A New Video Is Coming This Week

This is it, Katy Perry is finally releasing her Rise music video in 2 days and so far, her music video's teaser has been uploaded to YouTube yesterday. In this video, it features Katy Perry fights a parachute. Now then, here's what Katy Perry has to say about Rise. Take it, KP.

Katy Perry: I can't think of a better example than the Olympic athletes, as they gather in Rio with their strength and fearlessness, to remind us how we ALL can come together, with the resolve to be the best we can be. I hope this song can inspire us to heal, unite, and rise together. I am honored that NBC Olympics has chosen to use ['Rise'] as an anthem before and during the Rio Games.

Thanks. Now then, according to Wikipedia, "Perry stated that the track is "a song that's brewing inside me for years, that has finally come to the surface", and wanted to release it as a standalone track instead of including it on an album "because now more than ever, there is a need for our world to unite"."

Wow, talk about Rise being a standalone single. Anyway, there is a promotional video directed by Joseph Lee which was released on July 15, 2016, using footage of various players from the Olympics. Then Katy Perry subsequently released a teaser of the official music video on July 22, 2016, showing the singer parachuting into a water body. A second teaser was released on August 1, also featuring the Roar singer using a parachute, and revealed that the video would be released three days later. That's where her official Rise music video arrived in 2 days. Sounds exciting. Let's continue.

On July 28, 2016, Katy Perry has performed Rise live at the 2016 Democratic National Convention. Oh, one more thing.

Rise is a mid-tempo electronic song co-written by Katy Perry with Savan Kotecha and its producers Max Martio and Ali Payami. Oh please, another Max Martin single? How many Max Martin singles do we need, pop music? Let's move on.

In a review for Entertainment Weekly, Kevin O'Donell noted that the song "starts with brooding atmospherics and minor-key synths before exploding into a huge chorus". Katy Perry tweeted, "AUGUST 4TH we #RISE".

I would say, I'm sold. I can't wait to supprt Rise because I love Katy Perry since 2010 and I do support her music. She's my idol and a great role model. I'm really excited to hear Rise and hopefully, the music video will arrive in 2 days. Yay.

What do you think of the teaser for the music video?

The 2016 VMAs Nominees Has Arrived

This summary is not available. Please click here to view the post.

Happy 35th Anniversary, MTV

This is it. Today is the day. On August 1, 1981, MTV has launched into television 35 years ago. Which means, MTV turns 35 today and MTV Classic has launched into television. The first music video that aired on MTV is Video Killed The Radio Star. This is where music videos from 1979-today gets to be played on MTV. Even though reality shows and movies screwed up MTV nowadays. Stupid MTV playing reality shows and movies.

Now then, it appears that VH1 Classic announced last week through social media that today, which is August 1st, the 35th anniversary of MTV, they'd be relaunching as MTV Classic. I thought it was just going to be a simple rename with maybe a smaller focus on rock music and more of a general focus on classic music again. But no, this is much more than that.

Here's what seems to be included on the MTV Classic lineup (according to Zap2It's schedule, they only have the weekdays and not the weekends so far), I'll start with the animation first that's really what I care about the most.

Daria
Beavus And Butthead
Aeon Flux
Wonder Showzen
Clone High
The Maxx (under the MTV Oddities label)

And here’s the music programs:

MTV’s First Hour Of Programming
Classic Videos
The TRL Decade
MTV Unplugged
Total Request Playlist
90s Nation
Behind The Music Remastered
Various Music-related Documentaries And Movies
Yo! Hip Hop Mix
House Of Pop
Metal Evolution
Headbangers
I Want My 80s
Rock Block
Various Concerts

And other etcetra MTV programming of the past:

Punk'd
Jackass
Run's House
Pimp My Ride
Cribs

The animation and reality programs mostly air past 10pm, the majority of the network is music programming of course.

What do you guys think about this network? I think I'm in love with that lineup, especially Wonder Showzen and Clone High. As for the music programs, it’ll be nice to get my fill of hip hop and rock again.

Now then, what I also want on MTV Classic is Live From Daryl’s House and Later With Jools Holland from MTV Live and, of course, current music videos like Ariana Grande. Here’s what I’m looking you, Taylor Swift.

So, what do you think? Are you excited for MTV’s 35th anniversary? Are you happy for music in which MTV Classic wanted? Sound off below!
