Dark Horse Hits 1 Billion Views On Vevo

Hey there, Katy Cats. Just to let you know that Dark Horse has reached 1 billion views on Vevo. Now, here’s what Vevo has to say about this on its Twitter tweet.

100 million views is cool, but you know what's cooler? 1 BILLION VIEWS. http://bit.ly/1HjtuQ9  #DarkHorse10xCertified pic.twitter.com/YA7DfTgrAP

Nice. Now, here’s what That Grape Juice has to say about this.

“Winning: Katy Perry’s ‘Dark Horse’ Video Hits 1 Billion Views On VEVO

Sans the Super Bowl and touring, Katy Perry hasn’t been the most active chanteuse this year. Yet still the accolades continue to pour in for the premium Pop peddler.

‘Dark Horse,’ the third single from Perry’s 2013 LP ‘Prism,’ is the latest of her offerings to reach a major milestone.

More on the chart-titan’s newest honor after the jump…

In an era where streaming is gaining an ever-increasing impact on the charts, the 30-year-old continues to prove she’s ahead of the pack… digitally.

Why? Because the video for ‘Horse’ has galloped up to a wopping 1 Billion views. Yes, 1 billion!

The news was confirmed by VEVO, who announced:

Say what folk will about Ms. Perry, there’s no denying that she makes a marked effort to deliver visually – from her music videos to even her lyric clips. As such, the rewards – particularly for this vid – are much deserved.

It goes to show, success is an equation comprised of more than just talent. Creativity and solid execution goes a far way. Many an act could and should take note”

Congrats to Dark Horse hitting 1 billion views on Vevo making it the second Vevo music video to hit 1 billion views on Vevo as well as the first artist to hit 1 billion views on Vevo. But to be honest. I don’t like Dark Horse. Why? Because Dark Horse is the most overrated Katy Perry song in my opinion and I’m such a huge fan of Katy Perry. Not only that, the song came out in late 2013 and the music video came out in early 2014 and the song is way overplayed on the radio these days. It is the weakest single in her career and gained way too many views even surpassing the hilarious infamously titled Roar (which should be titled I Got The Eye Of The Tiger). Why, Katy Perry? Why are you releasing your lazy overrated generic Max Martin pop song? You suppose to go by the song that she thinks it's the best. But no, it has to go by radio and never stops. Why, Capitol Records?

I guess America don’t care about popularity like fans and America only wants money and repeats and screwed over diversity. It looks like America don’t care about diversity ever since diversity did not survive the new millennium curse. Ugh. I hate America populars like radio and beats. Why can’t America pay attention to diversity like rock music and real instruments? What happened to America these days? Debts and overrateds like Call Of Duty is ruining America is a very big place appearance and never stops. Why, America?

Anyway, congrats, Katy. But next time, please try something new and bring back contemporary Christian rock music for your next upcoming album. Trust me, I want Katy Perry to bring back contemporary Christian rock and make her a contemporary Christian rock comeback version of Wide Awake/Unconditionally 2.0. So make it happen, Ms. Katheryn.
