I hope you enjoy Christmas.

It appears that George Micheal, pop superstar, is dead at 53. What? Why did George Micheal died at the age of 53? Let me guess, he died at a heart failure. Yes, he died from heart failure, his manager Micheal Lippman said, according to UK-based Press Association.

The Wham! Singer had a successful solo career and sold more than 100 million records worldwide. The music legend has died at his home in Oxfordshire at the age of 53 from suspected heart failure. He died peacefully at home on Christmas Day.

He was part of Wham! and released at hit 80s song, Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go from 1984. That song wan an international million-selling single that put Wham! On the map in America, where it reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in late 1984. Then he was a solo English singer-songwriter who shot to stardom in the 80s and went on to become on the the era’s biggest pop solo artists with hits such as Faith, I Want Your Sex and Father Figure. His 1990 hit single, Freedom, has reached number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and he performed the song during the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.

“Despite Michael’s commercial success, the ’90s proved a difficult period for him, marked by a protracted legal battle with Sony Music Entertainment in an attempt to escape his longtime contract.”, LA Times said, “There was also a series of personal upheavals, including the 1993 death of his Brazilian lover, Anselmo Feleppa, whom he had met at a rock festival in Rio in 1991.

In 1998, Michael was arrested for lewd conduct in a men’s restroom at Will Rogers Memorial Park in Beverly Hills. He pleaded no contest and completed 80 hours of community service with a youth leadership program, paid $910 in fines and underwent counseling.”

In 2008, he caused his downfall by doing drugs where he was caught smoking crack cocaine in a public toilet.

“In its obituary of Michael, the BBC described him as a "pop superstar" and wrote, "Blessed with good looks and a fine singing voice, his stage presence made him a favourite on the live concert circuit as he matured from teen idol to long term stardom.", Wikipedia replied.
