Mariah Carey Performs DISASTROUS Live NYC Set

Happy 2017, everyone. I hope you all have a Happy New Year.

Now, as you may know that Mariah Carey's Saturday night performance on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest devolved into a cringeworthy spectacle as she claimed she couldn't hear through her monitors on stage.

The " We Belong Together" singer had suffered a fairly disastrous audio equipment malfunction while on stage and live on ABC. So as a result, she pretty much quit on even trying to salvage her headlining performance. Unfortunately for her and fortunately for Twitter, Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve did not cut away to commercial, making for an extremely awkward few minutes before midnight.

So what exactly went wrong? One of the singer's reps told TheWrap on New Year's morning that her ear piece wasn't working right from the get-go.

So when she was ready to walk to the stage, her team has informed production of the problem - an issue that was essentially brushed off. Even Jennifer Lopez allegedly cast major shade at Mariah Carey after her disasterous New Year's Eve NYE performance.

Wow, so it was the producer's fault for causing the performance disaster in Mariah Carey in NYC Times Square 2017 New Year Countdown. This is so shocking! Mariah Carey reportedly believes her disastrous New Year's Eve performance was the result of sabotage as she reportedly complained to tech but was ignored. Hmm, I know, how about new music for Mariah Carey's next project. As 2017 has arrived, maybe Mariah Carey should make new music that represents making mistakes on terrible disasters before moving on from there. That way, the music Mariah Carey is releasing will fix the problem after the disaster.

What are your thoughts on Mariah Carey's disastrous NYC performance? Was the technical difficulties the problem for the producers and not the "Heartbreaker" singer? Sound off!
