New Music From Ed Sheeran Is Coming This Year

Sheerios, the wait is over. Ed Sheeran is finally releasing new music. And, there’s even better.

Ed Sheeran is having plans to release not one, but two singles. That’s right, 2 singles Ed Sheeran is releasing. Wow, that’s his first new music since 2015. What really excites me is that there are 2 new songs, Castle On The Hill and Shape Of You. The former single will be written by him and Benny Blanco. “Hello 2017…”, the Sing singer tweeted.

Now for the album, the Thinking Out Loud singer released his debut album, +, in 2011, followed by x in 2014. The third album will be titled ÷ and it will be out on March 3. The album was originally released in November. But because of Donald Trump, that album was delayed to March 3.

In addition, Ed Sheeran breaks Spotify record with new music. He has broke an all-time record on Spotify on Friday as fans tuned in to hear Castle On The Hill and Shape Of You, 2 songs from his upcoming album, ÷.

“According to Forbes, Sheeran broke the record for most plays of one song in 24 hours on Spotify when he released his newest singles, “Castle On The Hill” – with 6,168,395 plays – and “Shape Of You” – with 6,868,642 plays.”, Inquisitr replied, “Both songs surpassed One Direction’s single-day-record of 4,759,698 plays in 2015 when the band released “Drag Me Down.”

Inquisitr continued, “Days following the release, Sheeran set the bar a little higher and broke his own record. According to Spotify, “Shape Of You” was played 7,240,930 times within a 24-hour period.” Wow, talk about streaming records. Let’s continue.

Ed Sheeran also officially announced the tracklist for the upcoming album in an old-school Instagram post. Enjoy.

Wow, pretty nice. I can’t wait for new Ed Sheeran’s ÷ and the 2 singles this year. Sounds like an awesome year for Ed Sheeran. Now, if only Ella Henderson, another British pop star like Ed Sheeran, would be popular just like what Ed Sheeran was.

What do you think? Are you excited for new music from Ed Sheeran this year? Sound off!
