Kesha Makes An Emotional Comeback With The Single Praying

Happy July, music listeners.

Yesterday, Kesha triumphantly returns with her emotional new single Praying! Okay, let's talk about these vocals and this video.

Now then, just to let you know that something just listened to Kesha’s first solo single in 4 years and everyone was obsessed. Today Kesha returned with her song Praying, a brave piano ballad about feeling empathy for someone even though they hurt you. In an essay for Lena Dunham’s Lenny Letter Kesha explained the comeback song is also about learning to be proud of the person you are during low moments when you feel alone. So it’s pretty clear who the song was inspired by, drumroll please, a certain music producer who we’ll leave out of the conversation for now.

In addition to dropping the song today, Kesha released the official music video yesterday and so far, the music has just gained 5 and a half million views on Vevo. Imagine that. Watch Kesha’s colorful rebirth in video form and don’t forget to appreciate her stunning raw vocals. When you get a chance to see Kesha’s Praying video, that video deserves a full watch end to end. Take note folks because THIS is how you do a music video. The video starts in black and white introducing her vulnerable storyline and continues in color to display Kesha’s version of church and finding her inner strength.

Dare we say this is the PERFECT comeback song, and video? Although the song is totally different from her previous released songs and doesn’t sound like the Kesha we know. So we feel a major success on our hands.

Even better, Kesha announced her full album Rainbows is finally coming our way August 11th. The album features Eagles of Death Metal and none other than Dolly Parton. Well then, everybody are SO ready for the new era of Kesha. Just like that, no stupid recreate the past forula and all that crud. Now then, if only something like Amy Lee would get alot of views on the internet. Curse you, online goes by capitalism and social media. I want my online goes by diversity back.

What you think? What are your thoughts on Kesha's comeback single? Sound off below!
