The BET Awards Is Tomorrow

You said it, folks. The 2016 BET Awards will be held tomorrow at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. In fact...

The 2016 BET Awards will be held on June 26, 2016, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The ceremony celebrates mass achievements in black entertainment and honors music, sports, television, and motion pictures released between April 1, 2015 and March 30, 2016. The nominees were announced on Friday, May 20, 2016, with Drake leading the pack with 9 nominations, while Beyonce and Rihanna both follow behind with 6. On May 22, BET confirmed on their social media accounts that they will pay tribute to Prince, who died in April 2016. Performances for this award include Usher, Alicia Keys, Tori Kelly, Rihanna and more and the performers which will lead the tribute to Prince by Stevie Wonder and stuff. This presentation will be hosted by Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross and the BET Awards 2016 will air on multiple channels outside of BET like MTV, VH1 and Nickeloeon. Sweet. In addition, there might be a rumor that Jay Z will be on tomorrow too. Just what I'm saying. Now then, it appears that BET like MTV and VH1 is a mainstream music station and unlike other mainstream music stations like Fuse, BET only plays R&B music like Alicia Keys as well as rap/hip-hop music like Kanye West because only R&B artists like Usher as well as rap/hip-hop artists like 50 Cent exist on BET. See what I'm saying? At least pop stars like Beyonce and Rihanna do exist on BET when the pop songs (like Mariah Carey songs) crossed over to BET since pop, R&B and rap/hip-hop are mainstream music. Just what I'm saying. I can't wait for the 2016 BET Awards.

What do you think?
