Kelly Clarkson Signs With Atlantic, New Album Released For 2017

I hope you all enjoy the 2016 BET Awards 5 days ago. Isn't the presentation great? I get to watch the BET Awards 2016 on MTV where there's really cool stuff. Especially Alicia Keys performing In Common as well as Fat Joe performing All The Way Up with beautiful Japanese women performing Japanese music beforehand.

Anyway, last Friday, 2 days before the BET Awards 2016, Kelly Clarkson has been teasing a big announcement all week, and to keep excitement high, she's done a series of Facebook live streams where she covered a different song and answered some fan question each day while trying her best best not to accidentally reveal the big news. But that's not all...

Whereas some smart fans figured it out anyway, after releasing 6 albums including her number 1 album, Piece By Piece (plus a greatest hits compilation and Wrapped In Red which was a holiday record), Kelly Clarkson is leaving RCA! She has now signed with Atlantic Records, where she'll have more of the creative freedom she's craved over the years. Nice, that means, she gets to try something new. So Kelly Clarkson left RCA and move to Atlantic Records so she will be releasing her next album in 2017. Let's continue.

Kelly Clarkson's first album with Atlantic will be something she's wanted to do since she was young: A soulful record. After covering songs by the like of Aretha Franklin and Ben E. King last week, it's no surprise that the Heartbeat Song singer wants to really delve into a genre that her voice was made for. Kelly Clarkson confirms that her soulful album should be out some time in 2017. So this mean, no more Kelly Clarkson making new videos on Vevo. Blame Warner Brothers Records for not uploading Warner Brothers music videos like Linkin Park music videos to Vevo. I'm sure Warner Brothers would sign a deal with Vevo so that way Vevo artists like Madonna will upload their Warner Brothers music videos like Nickelback music videos from Roadrunner Records to Vevo. Let's move on.

But that's not the only Kelly news! In line with all the fan requests she's been singing on Facebook last week, the pop star also announced a new website where fans can stream and download the songs she has covered on tour. KellyClarksonLive.com went live last Friday, and it includes 4 songs that you can stream or download for free: Creep by Radiohead, Fix You by Coldplay, I'd Rather GO Bline by Etta James and Ready For Love by India Arie.

On the last Friday or every month, Kelly Clarkson's team will add more songs and videos to the site for fans to stream, download, and enjoy. So please check out KellyClarksonLive.com now!

There's plenty of exciting stuff going on in the Kelly world. She just gave birth to her second child, a son named Remington, in April. That's about 3 months ago. Motherhood has led the pop veteran to an unexpected project: A children's book called River Rose And The Magic Lullaby will be released on October 4, and it will come with an original song by Kelly Clarkson. This will likely be her 2016 single. Just what I'm saying. Lol. She will also confirmed that she will go on a book tour around this time of its release. That's the same month Taylor Swift celebrating her tenth anniversary of her debut single that came out in 2006.

Kelly Clarkson will release her new soulful album at some point in 2017 and it will be her first album with Atlantic Records. The pop singer will also confirmed that she will release a country album in near future as well. It will be exciting to hear the new direction Kelly Clarkson's music goes!

So what do you think? Are you excited for Kelly Clarkson's first Atlantic Records album for 2017? What are your thoughts on Kelly Clarkson's first soulful album for 2017? Sound off below!
