New KP Lead Single Next Month?

Heads up, Katy Perry. A new single is coming next month.

That's right, a hot label primate will be releasing her 2016 single next month. So far, there's no information for the upcoming Katy Perry single. So I was thinking, it would be a Christian rock single with a touch of pop rock. That would be a 2016 Katy Perry single. Don't you think? I want Katy Perry's upcoming single to be different. No recreat the success of radio pop hits version of singles. Why? Because she keeps making big name producer version of radio hit so she can make money. We can all blame radio for killing the music business' chance to switch over to internet and streaming. Roar is a fine lead single off of Prism. But I hate singles misrepresent the album version of singles. I want singles to go by hit music represent the album. The only single that represent Prism is Unconditionally. Dark Horse, Birthday and This Is How We Do do not work well as singles and yet these singles misrepresent Prism. Why did Dark Horse become a huge hit? The singles are suppose to be the songs that represent the album. What was the music business thinking? Stupid Dark Horse/Birthday/This Is How We Do.

Anyway, I would like Katy Perry to evolve and try something new even though she is a singles artist. If she wants to stay singles artist, she has to evolve her sound in her singles discography and represent the album. No questions asked. I would be so cool to make it happen.

Come to think of it, if a lead single gets to be a single that will evolve Katy Perry's career, then that song will be a hit. But the song has to be different and not repeating the sucess of Teenage Dream/Roar. Just try something new and that song will be a smash hit. But please no having the same root that there is a disconnect between the albums and their misrepresentative singles and a disconnect between the artists' music and their image. Just evolve and try something new. Is that easy? That's why evolve and try something new represent hits.

Of course, Katy Perry isn't the only female pop singer to release her new album. Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and even Christina Aguilera will all release their 2016 albums this fall. Heck, Beyonce and Rihanna did that already. So why not these women too?

Now then, one more thing. Have Katy Perry perform that single in the 2016 MTV VMAs and let's hope that Katy Perry gets to be super hot and showing her sweaty butt. She needs to be hot and sweaty at the VMAs. Let's hope sex selling music could be the wrong direction in the music business. She needs to grow up and mature. Here's to rooting for you, Britney Spears and Lady Gaga.

Anyway, what do you think? What are your thoughts on Katy Perry's upcoming single for next month? Sound off below!
