Strength Of Mary J. Blige: Here’s Strength Of A Woman

Hello everyone, it’s me, PM’s Music World and today, we’re discussing Mary J. Blige releasing a new album which is known as Strength Of A Woman. You got that right.

Anyway, let’s begin. Strength Of A Woman is Mary J. Blige’s 13th studio album released on April 28, 2017. It was released by Capitol Records. The album features guest appearances by Kanye West, Quavo, DJ Khaled, Missy Elliott, Prince Charlez, and Kaytranada. The singles include her 2016 single, Thick Of It which was released as a lead single on October 7, 2016. The song topped the Adult R&B Songs chart for 16 consecutive weeks. U + Me (Love Lesson) was released as the second single on February 17, 2017. The song reached number one on the Adult R&B Songs chart dated May 6, 2017, the week prior to the album's release. Love Yourself, featuring Kanye West, was released as the third single on March 30, 2017.

In the Billboard chart, it appears that Strength Of A Woman debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200 for the issue dated ending May 20, with 87,000 album-equivalent units, selling 72,000 copies in its first week. It’s too bad the album didn’t reach number 1 in the US Billboard chart. But hey, at least number 3 isn’t so bad. Unfortunately, the album was not a success in the US. Although Strength Of A Woman is her highest-charting album since 2009's Stronger with Each Tear and her tenth top five entry on the chart, it marked a significant lift for the singer, whose previous release The London Sessions (2014) had opened at number nine with first week sales of 55,000 copies. Anyway, here’s the tracklist for Strength Of A Woman

In addition, there’s a Strength Of A Woman documentary special which was aired on MTV Classic and MTV Live. I would say, it was awesome. I get to see Mary J. Blige talking about the entire album as well as discussing evolution and move forward. I’d say, go check it out if you like Mary J. Blige. Also, Mary J. Blige is really damn hot. Not to mention she has a butt. Yes, Mary J. Blige has a nice butt. Anyway, Mary J. Blige is one of the most recognized R&B artists throughout the time. She is very talented and she will remain in our hearts. So if you like Mary J. Blige, I recommend this album. You might love it.

Next time on PM’s Music World, I’ll be talking about Kendrick Lamar. So stay tuned.
